did anyone know that the cable from your house to the gate point , must it use armor cable instead of normal 2/4 core cable ?

It is not a must but in the long term since the cable is conceal underground it would be safer for you to use armor cable because they last longer.

so 1 long strait of armor cable from house to light porch + autogate then split to light and autogate ?

Yes bro. They have different wire inside the armor cable. Can manage the wires on which to use.

- regardless of future whether to do autogate or not
- regardless autogate brand, is the wiring same?


am i right that, autogate just the motor or the gate open mechanism? The real door gate i can order from any gate factory right?

anyway i saw many kind of wiring diagram. Is there any standard? If I tell developer to lay the wiring, can I assumed they know what to do? Or I need to tell them specifically or let them know what system?

Ask developer to lay wire hahaha it's asking ur dog to claim a tree. Get what I mean.

Find a professional wire man who do autogate wiring b4 to do it then paying and not getting it done properly. Because u find out to wrong info and instruct ur wireman to follow ur idea.

Just imagine when everything is fix and the wire is install wrongly or less wire. Hmmmm more $$$ to be waste not to mention time also.

i planning to install auto gate system for my house. Following is my gate information and my requiremnet.

Can you recommend?

1. Swing Gate 18ft
2. Needs the gate to close 1 inwards and 1 outwards
3. Developer last time layed armoured cable for the power and control from my house already but the starting part of the cable was exposed to rain and sun for few years. Dunno can still works or not
4. If i don't want battery back up and intruder alarm accessories will be cheaper?
5. I already got a small side gate beside my main swing gate.

Appreciate if you can recommend.

A bit complicated but I guess can be done. The one gate going inward will be difficult a bit because the motor or arm will be fix out side so might dangerous later ppl might steal it. But no matter what also need to see the actual gate pillar first. Wiring normally can last but better to check it out first. Battery is not very expensive and intruder alarm is built in on the DC Moto board feature but to use it still u need to add the photo beam sensor.

Hi..anyone have knowledge on autogate system..called MYGATE..

Just install my new gate and autogate...initianl when i start nego with the gate installer....he told me ..he got do DC moto..Ask me to let him do....so ok lo....but during yesterday installation...he install this MYGATE brand autogate for me....claim that dc moto not available liao...and this MYGATE autogate also using DC system and not AC...which he claim also DC motor

I think that i been con....

IM Dilemma now....Any advise

What ppl would do nowday just to make a few extra bulk. Ask him to take back the whole set. If not just complain to the consumer right. Even re-branding also not fair unless they ask the customer first. But DC Moto got limited stock now and not no more liao. Ur invoice got written come with DC Moto or not? Ur one is swing or sliding type? Swing type is all DC 12 or 24 volt so pls dun confuse ppl reading ur complain.

And some more nego with him, of course give u cheaper model to cover the loses mah.

If pay full amount liao then too bad. But if invoice got written DC Moto then can complain to consumer right.

Dun worry just put his company logo here and we will help u to advertise his way of making money. Sell u a dog but deliver a cat because the dog die on the way.

Thank for the advise..havent settle full payment yet...still have 50%.....My gate is folding gate...its slide on the track on both side...so im presume its sliding gate

The problem now is ..they already install this MYGATE autogate system...with two arms connect to make new gate on both side....if i ask them to change to dc moto...then ..they might need to make another hole so that it can mount the dc moto arm to the gate....which i presume its different length from the current they install...then my new gate will have many hole..

The installer told me this autogate system is good cause it will not cause trip on db box during lightning as the system have two motherboard...When its trip...then need to call them to come and resetting the autogate...which i think its troublesome if every time trip ..i need to wait for them to come.....i cant manually turn on the autogate from the DB Box.....

Anyone have experience with this MYGATE Autogate system...?
