Man koulibaly still constantly looks unsure in possession, needs to decide what he wants to do with the ball a bit faster.

Damn man cucurella had his boot absolutely ripped. Ref really hates us doesn't he? That foul on mount a couple of minutes ago was so damn obvious as well.

2 nil and a cleansheet vs bournemouth after spurs dropped points. Bittersweet victory due to reece picking up yet another injury. Something needs to be done in january to address this. Forest next.

James punya performance coach already dropped hint that potter jumped the shark and played james for a useless match despite being unfit
*
Difficult to decipher these kind of 'cryptic' messages, on one hand it could well be the coaches taking a gamble on him (with crucial input from the medical staff so they can't 'wash their hands' off this incident either), on the other, it might be him referring to Reece's decision to avoid surgery when he first picked up that knock on his knee, based on that slim chance of him making the world cup squad. Either way it's absolutely crucial we get someone in soon. He's firmly in the injury prone category now, whether we like it or not.

QUOTE(zoidx_chung @ Dec 28 2022, 02:18 PM)
Would solve a ton of our midfield problems but will cost a bomb. I'd say worth a gamble considering how dysfunctional we've looked in the middle, not just this season.

Zakaria had a very good game though. Couple of mistakes, but lots of positives as well. He's still learning, that much is obvious. I'd start him again vs forest, and get his fitness up even further.

Release clause 105m, bellingham gonna cost more

Might as well try to get enzo, let liverpool overpay for Bellingham
*
Yep, i don't see us getting him without activating the release clause. This means we're dropping our interest in bellingham totally, but rice was always gonna be the priority 'big English signing' imo. Not like our bundesliga signings have worked out perfectly sweat.gif so I'm fine with that.

drogba regen come liao

Bit like a kalou + anelka regen actually, but I'd take that over what we have at the moment! biggrin.gif

Our record with regards to signings from benfica have been amazing if anyone's wondering. Why the hell we stopped scouting in liga portugal I'll never understand. Matic, Ramires, Luiz and Tiago (bit part player but still managed one of the goals of the season vs utd, and never looked out of place) flex.gif

Bloody hell. Some of these guys do not belong in a chelsea shirt and the worst part is potter doesn't have the balls to make changes sooner, in order to send a message that they're all replaceable.

What was that like 0 shots on target in the second half? Havertz again manages to finesse his way to 90 minutes without really doing anything. You'd think with news filtering through about spurs dropping points they'd be fired up to go all out against forest, but no.. played the majority of that second half like we were up by 7 goals.

Not sure what potter's ideas were behind the subs either, we genuinely looked worse after the changes, and seemed more like a 'throw them on and hope for the best' kind of move. Everyone was genuinely horrible and clueless, bar maybe silva and pulisic.

this... issues since sarri?
before tuchel sacked, we already cant hold ball and cope with opponents' pressure...
coach problem? more like players problem

The truth is definitely somewhere in between, my main issue with potter now is he remains undecided on kicking the rebuild into full gear. There's clear proof that the seniors have been the main culprit for our awful and erratic form for some time, but he's refused to rely more on players like lewis hall, carney, and hutchinson.

Previously there were hints he was gonna blood them, but now he's reverted back to the usual reliance on senior players, which is disappointing. In addition to getting a 'mini preseason' with the world cup break which lasted more than a month, you'd think he'd have a good idea of how to utilise these guys, with better patterns of play at the very LEAST.

I was looking forward to more minutes for our young talents, but what we got instead was a downright shocking performance from the usual suspects, much worse than the beginning of potter's reign. Some players genuinely look like they're not buying into his philosophy and that's bad news for him imo. In the beginning they were all pressing in unison and showing fight, but alarmingly many of them now look content with jogging around the pitch.

If potter continues to turn a blind eye to this, he won't last long imo. The players are now doing to potter what they did to tuchel, at an accelerated rate. I can only hope he sees this sooner rather than later, but he's certainly not helping himself atm.

Tuchel cant motivate, apatah lagi potter  doh.gif
sometimes I hope massive injuries happened to THOSE players, force potter hand to use youngsters
but damn THOSE players seldom get injury  sweat.gif

They know how to exert just enough effort so it looks like they're trying, but at the same time avoid any serious injury icon_idea.gif

That kovacic pass which was intercepted TWICE in SUCCESSION after the first one got a lucky deflection back to him off an opponent, is possibly our worst attempt from any player on a counter attack. It was downright shameful.
