thats nice man, yeah at least you get to wfh and be with her in times of her needs. 6 weeks for me would be too much to ask for as job nature doesnt allow wfh I guess.

You are right. It should be in the employee handbook. Is there any indication of PL in the handbook? If not, it is really at the mercy of the hr/management.

Anyway, if the company is sincere, the hr should have included PL in the handbook, and not give only when requested.

Not a myth. I get 3 months paternity. It all boils down to the company you're in.
