Hi all,

-Don't know whether anybody had posted this, but I've been using it for months now (since March 2007) & decided to share it. JKDefrag is getting better by every new version. Easy, stable & fast - automatically defrag all accessible NTFS & FAT* volumes. Highly customizable - have command line version, too.

-Get it here : JKDefrag v3.26

Regards.

-Just connect all drives/volumes that you want to defrag BEFORE you start JKDefrag. It then will automatically defrag them.

-That's good to hear. We can help to contribute too; there're still many rooms for improvement - just give a shot at the source code (for programmers - e.g. integration/usage of XP/Vista Prefetch data). For normal users, use, test, & give your feedbacks.

Regards.

I'm currently using Diskeeper and somehow the *ahem* problem cause it not to auto defrag anymore.

My main purpose of using a third party software rather than the windows default defragmenter is the ability to auto defrag.

Just wanna ask if this software has the ability to auto defrag in background using very low resources?

Will download it straight away after the answer nod.gif

-Hmm, it should be able to. Just read the "Frequently Asked Question" section on the main page; you'll be guided how to use Windows' Task Scheduler to it. Furthermore, the GUI version should be easier.

@bluesky87, it doesn't has background auto defrag as the author doesn't recommend it as well.

-Oh, I didn't catch the word background before. Yes, why should you defrag all the time as this will wear out your disk faster? Also, if 2 program accessing same files (the program you're running & the background defragmenter), wouldn't this will actually slow you down?

Regards.
