（吉隆坡21日讯）高级政务部长（教育部）拿督莫哈末拉兹说，政府在录取大学预科班（Matrikulasi）中，华裔比例占5.43%。
他说，至于印裔和其他种族比例，则各别为3.72%与0.85%。

莫哈末拉兹昨日在国会下议院，如是以书面回答行动党华都牙也国会议员西华古马的提问。
他说，根据政府现有的政策大学预科班的90%学额将分配给土著，至于10%则是非土著。

still relevant ka matrik? Used to, because fast track degree by 1 year kan? but now mcm no value, even stpm hbs got sijil, hbs matrik most kena lelong, esp if result is avg only.

Kementerian Pendidikan (KPM) dalam satu hantaran di Facebook mengiringi pelepasan 30 pelajar cemerlang di Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (KLIA), baru-baru ini.

Pelajar-pelajar tersebut merupakan penerima Biasiswa Perguruan Persekutuan KPM di bawah Program Penghantaran Pelajar Cemerlang (PPC) Lepasan Matrikulasi ke luar negara.

Mereka telah berlepas ke Australia bagi menyambung pengajian di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana Muda.

Menurut KPM, pelajar akan mengikuti pengajian di universiti yang tersenarai dalam ‘Top 100 QS World University Rankings’ di Australia dalam bidang Matematik, Kimia, Biologi, Fizik dan Sains Komputer.

Senarai universiti terkemuka tersebut termasuk Australian National University, University of Queensland, University of Sydney, University of New South Wales dan University of Melbourne.

Hadir sama pada sesi pelepasan pelajar tajaan KPM, Setiausaha Bahagian Tajaan Pendidikan, Mazlina Munawar.

Hantaran tersebut meraih sebanyak 3,600 tanda suka, 343 perkongsian dan 291 komen daripada warganet.

Dalam pada itu, pemilik akaun Muhammad Zaki, beliau berharap pelajar-pelajar tersebut bersiap sedia berkhidmat dengan Malaysia setelah pulang dari Australia nanti.

Matriks is so overated.

Enroll in diploma. After grad, get diploma cert, then you can WORK.

Matrix is a shortcut, aka backdoor into public university coz these pipel unable to compete with other pipel for the limited places in public uni.

So gov make a spesial channel for them as a backdoor to enter uni, setting a low standard for the entrance.

So tats how we have low quality graduates nowsadays.

You do understand there is quota and merit systems.

If UiTM open for nons, would you want to join ke?

UM also got very "Open Channel" Backdoor.
As long you meet minimum course grade, and pay full unsubsidized tuition fees, also can masuk UM

that still cheaper than a lot of private. Yes I did have a friend do MBBS in UM via this method since UPU din get desirable course
