Alright. Now that I regained my composure, let me say this.

I've known Vocaloid since 2008. And watching them grow on both popularity and also fanbase. Watching all the concerts, especially 2010's Thanksgiving really makes me who I'm now.

BUT,

Watching this 39's Daikanshasai? Damn, its like I watching 2010's Concert for the first time again. The shouting, the excitement, the dancing, the Miku. Wow, just wow. And in the end I shed manly tears.

Like how it was 2 years ago.

Good job, SEGA. Good job, MAGES.

BWAHAHAHA DEFUQ?

Seriously, I feel that too. Practically praying for Piano x Forte x Scandal to be played after Change Me, which is not the case.
But really, anything by Shu-tP to be played in a concert is a bless.

And God Wakamura strikes again! I loved how he smoothened Miku's movement as compared to his previous works.
Now less Lat Miku, more Tda Miku please!

Now now, I'm one big Miku fan. But this song is really, really good that it wowed me to no end.

Tobira no Mukou (Behind The Door) by Hinayukki feat Nekomura Iroha

Listen to this now. This song also being featured in The Vocaloid album by Yamaha, which IIRC, been treated with some Vocalistener love.

But we all got our own definitions of good. I like this song but it certainly not that good as you described.

I kinda like catchy songs and this is one is just a tad too plain reading IMHO.
*
I liked slow mellow songs so this song kinda stuck me as something emotional yet poweful. I never thought Iroha was this good before, so this struck me hard as I don't have high expectation of her before.

Dont worry, no offence taken. Heck, by listening to Vocaloids, its sure shows that we of all people acknowledge that diff ppl have diff taste laugh.gif

Quite informative and neutral discussion going on here.

Now2, I don't particularly liked the dancing, but I really dig the remix here

So, Tetsuya Komuro's (TK) debut with Vocaloid gets the fandom something to look forward to, including me myself laugh.gif

Love is All Music by Tetsuya Komuro feat. Hatsune Miku

Gotta say, he is no slouch in tuning Miku. Lovely slow song, with an awesome piano intro and enchanting back singers. Very good from him.
This is the opening song to the album Tetsuya Komuro meets Vocaloids, which also featured EZFG, Penguins Projects, Dios, Mathru, Polyphonic Branch and a few more. The album going to be released by Avex.

And for those who didn't know anything about TK, here is his wiki page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetsuya_Komuro

To put it simply, Tetsuya Komuro is one of the most influential song producer in Japan. And some even says that he is the most successful song producer in Japanese music history.

From what I've read on SeyrenLK's page (The dude who uploaded WIM concert footage), it'll be the last concert with the 39's. Apparently, they were the ones that decides to move on.

It's understandable tho, as no musician wants to be chained with only one project.

Still, a loss indeed. I'll miss them greatly, esp Happy Drummer/ Shin Orita.

Damn, its been so long since I last posted. Finals kills and drains every bit of my energy

I'm currently going through Vocamelloid 1 to 5 compilation and there was a lot of gems to be found. One that particularly stuck me the most is this one:

Doll by M@satoshi feat. Hatsune Miku (Album: Vocamelloid 2)

I never heard of this producer before, and thank god I listened to this. Great song, powerful vocals and tuning of Miku, and overall, a very catchy song. A little high pitched tho, but its good enough for me.

One of the best article regarding Miku (And to a certain extent, Vocaloid) phenomena. From LA Times Magazine, and its a really, really great read.

One part makes me lol tho:

QUOTE
Yet it’s not all squeaky clean: You wouldn’t want to meet all Miku lovers in a dark digital alley. In February 2011, Karley Sciortino described the singer’s attire as “slutty” in the English music mag Clash. “There were actually pipe-bomb threats to Clash’s London office,” she wrote on her blog following the story’s publication.

ROFL, pipe-bomb threat? Really? laugh.gif

Amen to that! She never asks, but she always delivers. Maybe this is why I'm hooked to the whole Vocaloid idea in the first place smile.gif

Now, I've been looping Vocamelloid compilation and suffice to say, my love towards Ryuryu is rekindled. His last work that I've listened to was Aurora, which is great, but I never even remember why I stopped listening to his work doh.gif

Due to this, I've been listening back to his album, Homeland and my god, why in this world I've forgotten about you?

One of my favourite track from Homeland:

Trees in Our Homeland by Ryuryu feat. Hatsune Miku (Album: Homeland)

Behold, the greatness of Ryuryu/ BinyuP!

So, it seems like Mitchie M, the producer responsible for Freely Tomorrow and Easy Dance released a new song!
A collaboration with Cotori for the upcoming compilation album V ♥ 25~cantabile~

Ai Dee by Mitchie M and Cotori feat. Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka

Taking his signature "life like" tuning of Vocaloid to another level, he managed to produce a jaw droppingly awesome Miku vocal as usual, with, Luka rapping. In English.

Yes, I kid you not. Luka. Rapping in English. And rapping "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" as well. WOW.

Another masterpiece by Mitchie M. Just pure greatness. Plus its catchy as hell.

So anyone here preordered Project Diva f for Vita?

Anyway, during the last Voca Nico Night event at Nicofarre, Kz performs his newest song, Weekender Girl, written together with 8#Prince.

Weekender Girl by Kz of Livetune and 8#Prince feat. Hatsune Miku

Now patiently waiting for Odds and Ends from Ryo. laugh.gif

Also looping this song nowadays.

Counterclockwise by Ryuryu/ BinryuP feat. Hatsune Miku (Album: Homeland)
Good lord, Ryuryu's works never fail to impress me. Its beautiful I have to say.

Wow, I shed manly tears after reading on Odds and Ends song translation and the meaning of this song.

Quoting from a Youtube comment:

"This song is about the story of Ryo (Supercell) himself. A talented person who was ignored and no one wanted to sing for him. But by the help of Miku, people finally recognize him as a professional and real human singers now sing for him. However, his time with Miku become less and less that he might retire from Vocaloid production. In the end, he finally realized that he cannot abandon Miku, because she will always by his side and sing for him; no matters if the world still love him or not."

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Damn these invisible ninjas cutting onion beside me. Damn.

Honestly judging from the lyrics itself, its very plausible. Ah, symbolisation everywhere. laugh.gif

If I were to offer my 2c, I'd say that as much Ryo helps to propel Miku to mainstream acceptance (at least as clearly seen in Japan), thats also as much as Miku helped Ryo to be noticed, and getting as popular as he is nowadays. I mean, without Miku, he wont have a start. And without ryo, Miku wont be as big as her nowadays.

Which is what I noticed nowadays, as Miku (and Vocaloids in general) gives producers the chance to shine, instead of the usual artist centric way. Instead of songs sung by artist, we have song by producers feat. artists.

Great time.

I disagree. More bewbs for Miku is better.

Now now, I'm completely hooked on s10rw circle works (Yuxuki, Ryuryu, Whoo) which mainly focus on dreamy musics. Here is some examples:

Light Falls- Yuxuki Waga feat. Hatsune Miku (Album: Light Falls)
What can I say. Soothing piece with lovely melody and great, whispery tuning of Miku. Good song to start your day with!

Dear Prudence- Whoo feat. Hatsune Miku (Album: Terra)
A catchy song. I love the tempo of the song, complementing the energetic Miku voice.

Leucocoryne- Ryuryu feat. Hatsune Miku
Probably one of the most underrated producer ever, Ryuryu never fails to bring beautiful melody with his works. And coupled with clear tuning of Miku voice, with his trademarked huskiness, I can vouch that this is just a slight taste of his awesomeness. All hail Ryuryu!
Plus, that illustration! Love his cooperation with Misaki. Just love em both. Kinda reminding me of Otoyomegatari manga.

Well to tell you the truth, Japanese audiences were seriously awesome, hell basically almost every concert they attended (Anisama etc).

But that doesn't mean Mikupa SG was a flop. Nope, far from it. They sing along during Musunde Hiraite, they cheer for Miku, they replied for the vocalist part during the band intro (Well, some of them..most just shout), THAT encore cheer, and the glowsticks wave throughout the concert.

What everyone did was great enough for me. Can't expect them to be all wotagei in the concert aint it?

In other words, I believe everyone had the time of their life that night.
