I am considering between Q6N and U6K Pro. Any user here can help to answer the following:

a) Is the TV shipped with Android 12 and newer (Android 14)?
If you go to Hisense Malaysia's page, you'll see...

Q6N model is VIDAA. U6K Pro is Google TV so should be at least 13; current version of Google TV is 14.

b) What is the RAM and storage like? Is it 3GB + 32 GB?
*
That's pretty standard spec for Smart/Android TVs.

I have bad experience with Q6N, despite replacement and new unit, still pretty bad backlight bleeding. Not sure my bad luck or the quality of Hisense TV really questionable. I have Panasonic (plasma & 4K TV), TCL (QLED) and Samsung (QLED) all ok.. think twice and check actual unit 1st.

Go to Harvey Norman. They should have the U7N and Bravia 5 as it's last year's model. 2025 model is Q for Hisense. HN's is selling the 65U7N for RM5,700. Either one you choose, buy in-store, especially for Hisense, because in-store purchase gives you 3-year warranty instead of 2-year for online purchase.

The link you gave, the 65U7N, is it Q series?

I did not see it from this catalogue, and I thought the Q series like Q7N, Q6N is lower tier models. sweat.gif sweat.gif

No, Q series seems to be 2025. That's why the N series are on sale at Harvey Norman and the 65U7N has its price slashed.

I believe it's around this time there are price slashes across the board for all TVs as the new models will come in three months from now.

Sorry this morning I tgh blur. The 65U7N was indeed what I was saying earlier.

Is there any issue with U7N that I shall take notice? I intend to pair it with PS 5 for gaming

I have a Q6N, its a QLED Google TV while U7N is the higher range Mini-LED using VIDAA OS. Go for mini-LED if budget not an issue. The build quality of Q6N is ok, just that the back screen bleeding is horrible. Should've just go for U7K although it is older model. sad.gif

So far so good. Mine was a Penang seller. sweat.gif I only realised after placing the order on Lazada. Was a bit worried about delivery since I live in Kajang.

I don't have the U7N nor a PS5. I'm not a TV reviewer.
If you worry about pairing it with your PS5, bring it to the store that you know have a unit. Bring the HDMI cable that comes with the PS5. Hook it up to 1 of 2 of the HDMI 2.1 port on the TV and test. Try out 4K 60Hz and 1080p 120Hz.

Well since Harvey Norman is selling for RM5,700, that's a good deal for 65U7N from a retail (not online) seller.

TLDR: I got my 65" U7H replaced by Hisense Malaysia with a U7N.

So this story is about bad luck turned good luck, okay customer service to great customer service. I'll try to be brief.

When my 65" U7H was delivered December 2022, everything was great except there was a smudge on the screen, right in the middle. Not something that can be cleaned from the viewing side. So I called Hisense and within a couple of days they sent a serviceman. He looked at it then said the smudge was behind the screen. He took the TV apart, all the way to the LCD glass substrate layer. From the other side, there were many more clumps of smudge across the panel. But the one that I noticed was probably the thickest, which created a shadow.

The serviceman rubbed it - can't remember what he used - and put the TV back together. The smudge was still there but there was less of it. So it's still a problem. He told me he'd ask Hisense to do a one-to-one replacement and that I should keep the original box. The replacement never happened.

For those who don't know how repair service works these days, manufacturers no longer have dedicated teams of servicemen but they hire companies to do them. So one company may service Philips, Hisense, Sony and Beko at any one time repairing TVs, refrigerators or washing machines.

Fast forward to December 2024. The smudge was still there but now there's two tiny insects behind the screen. Don't know how they got there but they did. And it's distracting. Since it's a couple of days until my warranty would've ended, I asked Hisense to send a serviceman to come clear the insect debris. Described the problem and took pix. Then they said since it's not their fault the insect got there, they'd have to charge me. Fine, I'll pay.

A different serviceman came and looked at the problem. Then I explained to him that the previous serviceman was supposed to ask Hisense about the replacement but never did. He wrote a report, said he'd get back to me about scheduling the insect debris removal. And then nothing.

After about two months - yes, two months - I got fed up. Went to Harvey Norman where I bought the TV from and asked them to push Hisense to expediate the repair. Explained to the salesman the whole situation including the smudge. That's when he reminded him that I technically have until December 2025 before the Hisense warranty ends. Buying the TV at a physical store gave me a 3-year warranty. He said he'll contact Hisense and if I didn't hear from Hisense, I should call Harvey Norman for a follow-up.

Within a week, a third serviceman came over and looked at the TV, specifically the smudge. While he could remove the debris, the smudge was now the main issue. He said he'll put in a request of an LCD panel replacement. Great! One more month went by. I called Hisense and they said the request was still being processed. They said they'll send another serviceman to re-asses the panel.

The fourth serviceman arrived for the reassessment. Took videos and pix of the smudge. He said he had done panel replacements before but not for a 65". Even he was worried about it. But he said the panel replacement was on order. He said he will get back to me about the updates.

Sometime in May, a customer service officer called me. Hisense had decided that the panel replacement was too much work and a risky one too. So instead they'll offer me a new TV - a 65" U6K. She asked if I would be okay with that. I said I'll have to think about it.

After doing a quick research, I found that the brightness levels of the U6K was lacking by 300 nits, I'd lose one HDMI port and the panel would only be 60Hz. The CS officer called and I declined the offer. I explained my reasons and said that it would be fairer if they gave me a like-to-like replacement, like a U7K. I said it's fair because U7K was being phased out already. She said they'd get back to me on that.

June was a whirlwind month. I completely forgot about the TV. Then yesterday a different CS officer called and asked if I'd be available today. They're going to fix the panel. I said great, but not Wednesday. I'd make time tomorrow, Thursday.

Today is Thursday. The fourth serviceman and his partner were supposed to come at 11 but they had to fix somebody's refrigerator, which took a while. CS officer asked if I would be home later in the afternoon. I said I would be. 3 PM the doorbell rang. The fourth serviceman arrived with a brand new, still in the box, 65" U7N.

He said he wasn't told there would be a delivery of this unit today and when he found out, he suspected it might be for me. Before he could set the new TV up, he has to take away the U7H first. I said the dusty box is right there. The three of us put the old TV back in the box. Then they set up the U7K.

So it took 2 years and 6 months for the replacement to arrive. I went from having a 65" FALD U7H to a 65" mini LED U7N. After I've done playing and setting up stuff for the TV, I'll start a Hisense Mini LED thread to "review" the TV. It'll also act for future mini LED models after N (and the previous K). And if you're curious, I can honestly say the U7N is leaps ahead from the U7H.
