It is a UHP tire with low noise. Not sure about longevity

Coming from Primacy 4, after using them for 3 years; previously was on PS4 which only lasted me 2 years - I'm deciding between the Michelin Primacy 4ST, Continental UC7, Continental MC6 and the Kumho HS52.

The PS5 is very tempting, with the steering feel, ZR rated (I do a lot of 200kmh driving) and overall performance. What's turning me off is the road noise, rolling resistance and the relatively short longevity, not really useful when I do KL JB commutes majority of the time. I don't skimp on tires, but I value safety, quietness and longevity these days. Which one should I go for? 215/55/17 btw

Hi I'm using 185 55 15 tyres and I usually pump it up with 250kpa, is this too much and will over inflate the tyres? Bcs on Google it says should pump 220kpa?

What could be the reason for the noise, given below scenario ?

- Tire is used Pirelli Dragon Sport, 225/40/R18 that was manufactured back in 2016 (7 years old tires) that still have good thread pattern and depth.
Tire was stored for unknown period since last use, and recently fitted back on the car after balancing and of course alignment.
Tire is making loud humming noise when driven. There don't seem to be any visual defects on the tires, or uneven wear.

Hey guys, if tyre pressure I want it to be 220 kpa. Do I just set 220 at the air pressure terminal and be done with it? Or do I need to set higher kpa since tyre has heated up as I drove to petrol station? 175/65 R14 Axia tyres and wanting to pump to 220 kpa.

I have this kind of sidewall damage due to scrapping the fender(one of the nut on the fender). currently keep the tyre as I bought different tyre. The thread is still very thick. the scrapping not untill the steel wire

Want to consult tyre sifus here, if the manufacturer recommended size is 215, is it a big impact if I use 225?

Wow... for 2 cars = 8 tyres. What are the big effect on turnings? Must be positive effect lah since you are doing this for 2 cars.

Here's what I found out from the tyre size calculator. Speedometer will show lower than the actual.

I am always curious, what happen if a totally stock car was equipped with gripper tires.
Grippier tires as in those semi slick type like AD09/V720 or V730
Will the stock car suspension be overwhelmed with additional grip causing additional wear and tear?
Perhaps making the car slower since they cant take advantage of new found grip?
Does that mean upgrading stock suspension kit is essential to make full use of such tires?

I did rotation every 10km and the tyre thread wearing out evenly.
No idea why as every set of new tyre I used can't go beyond 30km.

Then is either your tire or your driving attitude. If always like to speed and enter corners like nothing also will wear out fast.

yea can see there is a crease at the side as driven deflated before notice it was punctured. i have been using the same tyre for few months after repaired at tyre shop. everything look normal now but when i tried to check tyre air pressure at petrol station there is no beep sound anymore

Ori spec is 185 55 16 if I change to 205 55 15 will it be within spec?

Hi, what would be the ideal tyre size in my situation.
My car OE tyre size is 235/45/18
And I've replaced an aftermarket 19inch rim,
235/35/19 is widely available in the market but My overall tyre diameter will be smaller than the OE spec
235/40/19 is the closest diameter to my OE spec but the size are difficult to source

Does changing my tyre diameter from OE spec will cause any damage to my car ?

ok thanks for the honest opinion as well. i don dare open the flap more worry will tear deeper haha, so far see like is whitish most likely is due to the cement from kerb/rock. I asked my regular tyre shop boss, he said similar thing that it is normal scrapping and as long as no bulging then tire wont suddenly burst. Order rubber glue from shopee, probably just to make it look less flappy lol. heard somewhere said superglue not good for rubber maybe will harden or wat haha.

I read about Proton S70 review mentioned that the entry level uses a 205/55R16 tyre.
I had a old camry which I had just changed very recently for 4 * 205/65R15 tyre.
Using this tyre model I had done some checking, Toyo CR1, I found that the
205/55R16 - Price RM272 per pc
205/65R15 - Price 245 per pc.
Both shopee online competitive price from the same shop.
However it seems to me that 205/55R16 is a slightly smaller tyre as per the following :-

The question I had in my mind is 205/55R16 tyre costlier to manufacture than a comparable 205/65R15 tyre ???
Isnt 205/65R15 more costly to manufacture cost wise since it had a slightly bigger lump or rubber & perhaps metal??? Same width, more sidewall and a slightly higher tyre overall than  205/55R16
Or the cost is mostly similar (or very small difference) but the marketing decided that  205/55R16 will price higher than 205/65R15 since as per your statement above, R16 must have better margin than R15 regardless???

I recently purchased a BMW F30 LCI that has 225/50R17 tires. Is this the original size? I was looking at some F30 brochures online (please see attachment), and it seems like it could potentially be 225/55R17s.

Secondly, aside from Primacy, can you recommend any other tires? Just wondering if there is a more wallet-friendly option if my priorities are handling>fuel economy>comfort. I don't drive this car outstation and seldom ferry more than 1 passenger.
