I think it depends on the formation and starting XI

and whether ETH will employ differently against top 6 opponents or just stick to the plan A

I would imagine to an extend Fred will be utilised as he is hardworking to balance the midfield a little against tougher opponent …

I mean there are multiple arguments about this … if we dun talk bout the dividends (we can rant but we cant do anything bout that)

Overpaying a player is bad (see our 80m fridge signing) as we been paying man utd tax all this while. Even 50-60m for Antony is criminal and Ajax wanted 80m. Crazy. The whole world knows that we are desperate (especially with the CR7 news, they want to squeeze us to the maximum)

Tbh if it’s just 10m apart on FDJ and I own man utd’s money, I would pay more for faster transition and integration into new team.

But there’s probably more issue with barca’s negotiation. We agreed an amount previously and now Barca wanted higher, due to the deferred salary issue and owed agent commission. It might not be as straightforward as normal deals.

not sure if ETH has looked at Amad and Pellistri that Ole signed previously for RW position

to be honest should give them a chance in pre-season / training to see if it's really necessary to go for a new RW when a huge sum was spent last time by Ole on the same position and was never properly used in EPL

if we can skip Antony (maybe sign only next season), we can go for a slightly better striker/forward option to replace Ronaldo

p/s: ETH is clearly trying to keep those sensitive stuffs behind closed door and not lay it bare in front of media. So saying good things about the players is absolutely understandable (despite Maguire fooking costs us so many points last season). Last thing ETH want will be another controversy behind a very messy transfer windows thus far.

Remember how many ppl condemn Mourinho and RR for throwing players under the bus? Managers can really do ntg right, unless they "listen" to every fans dry.gif
