Side step (usually for lorry):

Putting side steps on City will be very ugly, even for Mugen one.

Very good.
My friend used to complain bad FC for this March08 City VTEC getting 9km/L~11km/L. Now it is 13km/L avg. Engine ran in already I guess. I suppose it should be better when reached 10k milleage. |

QUOTE(runemastertan @ Jun 16 2008, 09:47 AM) Go and compare, drive both City and Vios. you'll feel that City have quieter engine, smooth driving sensation than VIOS. No need compare. Even though I owned Vios, City have a more refined feel than Vios; Vios is having a more rugged/rough feel - suitable for abusing and rough use. If you are a smooth & patient driver, get City. QUOTE So, normal gearbox when they shift in gear, power is lost to the torque converter = less efficient. The power loss is eliminated in CVT = more efficient = save fuel. Torque converter on flat straight road will have slight power loss even when no gear shifting take place. If you mate a CVT with a fluid-coupling (aka torque converter), power loss is still there. The nature of CVT is not about power conversion loss but, is the effiency in using the best correct gear ratio. CVT in City is using clutch coupling - lesser power lost vs tc, but still subject to wear & tear as in manual transmission clutch. However the good thing about torque converter is that it can boost your torque output - hence a 'push back' when you press hard on stand still vs a more linear feel of City. AFAIK Lancer 2.0 GT, and upcoming Sylphy are using CVT with tc. |

QUOTE(Kagekiyo @ Jun 22 2008, 12:26 PM) Hey guys, do any of you know whether the Honda service center sells replacements for the original VTEC(small sized) words/emblem at the back for City 2003-2005 models? Or will i have to resort to alternative shops? You don't need that VTEC sticker to gain hp btw. Ripped off just clean it the rest, polish away the glue. Then your rear will be cleaner and easier to clean & wax. Last night i was kinda shocked to see my city's VTEC words were ripped off last night by some moron. Just FYI, i am driving an original 04' vtec model* Please advise. Thanks! My friend removed his VTEC/City logo. |

That 'City' looks futuristic.
However People ooooh and ahhhhh on the CVT & godly 7-speed in Honda City. New City they say no CVT but just old classic auto. So current City or wait for new one? p/s: But i-VTEC on new City. This post has been edited by dstl1128: Jun 26 2008, 10:37 PM |
