I’m a bit confused - do you mean w/o SST orders are being fulfilled only by leftover units from SST orders?
*
Ooops, sorry. I meant the w/SST cars are coming from those who cancel booking or unapproved loans. Dealer might have others in their queue that want the colour/variant/model, but the SA will lose the commission. Thus, the SA will offer to others who want the car earlier & don't mind to pay SST.

So to put this into perspective… let’s say in a situation:
A placed booking before SST deadline
B placed booking before SST deadline as well, but behind A in the queue
C placed booking after SST deadline

We’ll assume all three booked the same exact variant and color.

If A gets an allocation, but decides to cancel booking, are you saying the SA gets to decide where to allocate A’s unit next? Instead of going to B, the SA can instead offer the unit to C?
*
Too simplistic. Better illustrate like below:

A placed booking with SA1 before SST deadline (booking #1)
B placed booking with SA2 before SST deadline (booking #100)
C placed booking with SA1 before SST deadline (booking #101)
D placed booking with SA1 after SST deadline (booking #500)

Assumption: A,B,C,D booked same model, variant, colour. No other

Let's say car for A arrived, but A's loan was not approved. The Sales Manager gave SA1 a deadline of 1 week to to get A's loan to be approved or his client's allocation will go to SA2. SA1 can either offer to C or D. If they reject coz dun want car now, SA1 will advertise outside and SA1 will be desperate coz only have 1 week deadline to register before he lose his commission.

I can’t think of a logical reason why D would decline right? He gets the car sooner, pays the same amount or less…the only reason is he can’t afford / cannot get loan approved?

So then the SA1 still goes and advertise openly?
*
Example only laaaa… but there are some people that booked now, but actually want the car next year - due to the 12 month waiting period.

Also, SA1 after go through his own client, will advertise openly.

My previous caveat still remain - this is purely speculation between me and my SA. Not sure if this is true, or there are other reasons

Just taken delivery of my wife’s HR-V V Spec.

Good news: The latest HRV got RDS - not even my current Civic FE RS got… the turbo engine is similar to my Civic - didn’t push yet la… only 15km driven laugh.gif
Bad news: no auto folding side mirror. Not sure if there is a setting - but didn’t see any for this. Also, A pillar on left side + side mirror is a huge blindspot in my humble opinion.

Just a short drive, so can’t comment much yet. Will update my first impressions later.

No wireless apple CarPlay is another issue to me, I don’t want to plug my phone all the while I using.

Yup, x50 might be the best for value of money but only for the highest spec right? If I not wrong still need around 100k,
personally I don’t want to pay 100k for a proton….

Thinking of Corolla cross too but on paper is c segment but interior size wise is smaller than hrv, the only thing hrv lose is the boot space due to more sporty tailgate design.
*
If no wireless apple carplay is an issue, x50 totally no carplay/AA laugh.gif

My Civic FE is wireless Carplay enabled - really make it easy for short trips, no need to plug in. But for longer drives, wireless charging is hit or miss. Sometimes it can charge full while using Carplay, sometimes it won’t charge full 100% but hover around 90%. I’m guessing the charging is throttled due to heat.

Booking with dealer is one thing. When the SA/Dealer key into the Honda system is another. I may be completely wrong as I am not an SA, but as far as I understand, Honda & dealer assign the delivery according to your booking in the Honda system.

Whether your dealer can pay to get the delivery is another - bigger dealership presumably has better cashflow to secure cars- dealer has to pay for the car to be delivered to them. Then wait for SA to secure loan + register to customer. Then bank disburse the money to dealer after you confirm the car has been received.

Just view my car today RS Grey before sent for tint and coat.

I just have one question though. I booked with Honda DVR and Wireless charger but none is fixed at the factory. SA said its fixed at their service center by expert. Is this normal? Dunt the factory fix dvr before fixing roof panel?
*
No laaa. Service Centre will affix it. For DVR definitely will affix it after tint.

Didn’t cross my mind at the time of booking the car. laugh.gif  Anyway hope my wife ‘s car can get by September as per estimation by the SA. Plan to drive all the way up north to  Bukit kayu hitam.  Don’t think SA or the dealers will give discount for this brand new model anyway.
*
Got discount, but not so high la. My wife’s SA gave her 1k discount biggrin.gif

QUOTE(hus2020 @ Jul 30 2022, 08:55 PM)
Oh really. Like that they'll have to open again the roof panel to run the cables. Wouldn't it be messy and untidy
*
Through door panel gaps. Only troublesome part might be at the rear - but they are pro la. They definitely have experience and tools to do it.

My booking is with this dealership too. Booked a Red V Spec on HM the first day official booking open on June 9th for my wife. Was told by my SA last week that we’re 11th in the queue for this spec and color.

Hopefully can get our car before CNY 2023.
*
I’m guessing you should get it by either August or September. V-Spec is the most booked version, according to my SA la. The 1 year estimate for HRV is actualy for V-Spec laugh.gif

Our previous HRV rear camera was DIY and the most difficult thing is the weather sealing grommet through the hatch back door (that's where the rear lighting etc gets routed through)

I’m going to Sicurez next week to get it professionally done nod.gif

thanks to aftermarket HU kan? saw the car last weekend at Ioi Putrajaya, SA there even switch on the engine inside the mall. The HU for me kinda less screen quality, I mean the color it like less-pixel.
*
I guess so? But thanks to the lower resolution screen, the reverse & lanewatch camera looks sharper than the FE laugh.gif It has this matte kinda look to it in my opinion. In other markets, the HU is the same as the FE...

Anyone who has picked up their HRV, have u all got Honda Connect working? What's the activation method?
*
You need to get your SA / dealership where you bought the car at to activate for you. You can't do it on you own nod.gif You need to download the Honda Connect app and register your account, then share your phone number & email address used to the SA.

First half review: trip to KL from JB.

Lets get things out of the way. This new HR-V Turbo is miles and miles better than the old 2015 1.8V variant - the only downside is the boot space which is significantly smaller than the outgoing model. You definitely can’t travel with 5 people with all of them bringing medium luggage bags.

Some information that you may want to know:
1. Even though it has (almost) the same engine as the Civic FE, it can’t keep up if it’s on a drag race. You can (subjectively) feel the car’s weight.
2. The car is slightly more fuel guzzling than the FE, and harder to maintain speed than the FE, i’m guessing because it’s heavier & not as aerodynamic as a sedan.
3. The meter cluster, even though it’s physically the same as the FE, the animation, especially the fuel consumption meter (fuel/range option) is different. The HR-V seems like polling every 0.5 seconds & 5% resolution, the FE seems like polling every 0.1 seconds & 1% resolution. The FE animation is infinitely smoother.
4. I noticed that the HRV light sensor is in the cabin, just behind the HU. So those with dark tints will have their auto headlights almost constantly on, similar to the first gen Civic FC. The FE has the light sensor at the same place as the Honda Sensing camera, so it’s not affected by the tint
5. Road noise is comparable to the FE. Wind noise at 110km/h is negligible. On newly tarred roads, at 110km/h the cabin is almost silent with minimal engine roar can be heard.
6. Speakers on the HRV - VSpec is abysmal… maybe it’s because that the cabin is bigger than the FE, so it sounds hollow. The FE has better sounding speakers.
7. The (v-spec) seats are noticably plushier than the FE. It’s more comfortable on long rides
8. The suspension is of course on the soft side, you can’t corner hard without feeling that the centre of gravity is high. It rides rough roads better than the FE.

Some speedometer vs gps vs tachometer comparison
• Speedo 90km/h Waze 86km/h, Tacho 1,750rp
• Speedo 94km/h, Waze 90km/h, Tacho 1,800rpm
• Speedo 110km/h, Waze 105km/h, Tacho 1,950rpm
• Speedo 115km/h, Waze 110km/h, Tacho 2,000rpm
• Speedo 150km/h, Waze 145km/h, Tacho 3,000rpm

To be continued if I have other comments later

Good FR! HRV is heavier than civic? Drag coefficient bet the two diff segments?

Civic FE RS is 1,362KG. HR-V V-Spec is 1,403KG. The drag coefficient is also definitely different (sedan vs suv)

Hearing again SA/Dealer did not activate Honda Connect for V & RS Spec owners when collecting cars. So for those who bought V & RS Spec, do make sure your SA/Dealer activates your Honda Connect - don't believe them when they say, that one is done, or will be done later when your Honda Connect app still shows zero information about your car. You will need to waste another trip to the dealer/SA later if you did not do this while you are there.

Also, do check your alignment, my wife's HR-V slightly pulls to the left. Not obvious during daily driving, but during long straight stretches on the NS highway, it is noticeable.

HRV optional accessories - DashCam front and back, does it have parking surveillance?

What are the specs?
*
Got parking mode, 1080p only. Same as Civic’s Digital Video Recorder spec. Parking mode only impact, not movement.

1. https://www.honda.com.my/withdreams/placing...video-recorder/
2. https://www.honda.com.my/aftersales/honda-p...ed-products/dvr

Also, just noticed the Reverse Camera guide lines is STATIC! The HU for 2022 HRV really is the worst… even the old HRV HU reverse guide lines is dynamic…
