QUOTE(mirzan007 @ Jun 4 2022, 12:05 PM) Unable to trace the origins but as the one of the hantu durian, I can honestly said it is far from MK because the flesh not thick enough. The only thing it can beat MK, is the bitterness š. Almost 25 years old the tree age grown from seed. The strange thing, the fruitās texture & taste really getting better as the tree age. This post has been edited by nihility: Jun 4 2022, 04:19 PM |

Today went for Pahang Tekka at Baiduri Trading @ Paya Jaras. Selling at RM 30/ kg, not much stock left for Tekka, I bought all the available Tekka. Damage for the visit was RM 150. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The seed for Tekka was relatively small. Tekka was known as Musang Queen. If you like Musang King, you will like Tekka. I was being introduced to try āJagungā durian from Pahang. Selling at RM 20/kg. Bitter & creamy & sweet. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Given me a choice, I think I may not select it again because Iām type of fussy / demanding when it comes to the fruit yields %. The flesh over skin % was low ~ about same % like red prawns variant ( skin too thick). The reason why I dislike red prawn, the same reason Iāll not choose this variant again. If never try before, maybe worth to give it a try. DurianSamurai liked this post

So many countries only got chapalang thai durians we are very blessed already |

Thai durian breed is good but they have very few breeds unlike Malaysia. Plus the Thai people have very lousy taste buds and like to eat raw fruits because they donāt have the patience to wait for the fruit to fully ripen. That is why they are only used to eating raw fruits. Not smart people |

Actually, the Thai's durian not bad if it was left to ripen naturally. DurianSamurai liked this post

QUOTE(nihility @ Jul 5 2022, 10:32 PM) Wah your durian looks super delicious. Malaysian durian is the best. I really hate those raw durians in Thailand. Their taste buds are really low class. Its like liking instant noodles more that a plate of freshly made pasta. I know many low class people actually prefer instant noodles. Their taste bud still very primitive |
