Now is time to go back into the REITs' bro,... forget T-Bills,....

No REITs any more for me... Enough shareholder dilution and stupid fees paid to the managers... In the end, all they know is to send more lobbyists to ask MAS to increase aggregate leverage limit... laugh.gif

Not too different from the American business roundtable after all eh... laugh.gif

I will stick to a combination of Treasury bill ETFs (for US), Treasury bill MMF (for SG) and index funds + some European equity exposure... I am comfortable with this portfolio for now...

Yea, I hit hard enough biggrin.gif

I have exposure to the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, complimented with European luxury exposure and SG banks. Altogether risky assets are currently about 30% of my portfolio. The rest are in T-bills ETFs/MMFs in US and SG.

I am also scalping the BIL ETF to generate extra return of some 2-3% p.a. on top of the current 4-5% p.a. yield. So, I am not losing at all lol

I am making decent money just by borrowing USD to the US government and trading against a couple of idiots during Asian hours laugh.gif

Which US T-bills ETF is recommended for set and forget short to med term? And please elaborate how you are scalping for more yield? Also what do you mean by borrowing USD and trading in Asian hours?

And next year there's a new 36-week MAS Bill issued alongside the 4-week and 12-week one. Not sure why a 9-month bill is needed, maybe they are trying to facilitate more price discovery in the ultrashort-short end of the yield curve?

I missed updating this thread due to account issues, feel free to check the yields for the past 2 weeks on MAS website. The ultrashort end COY ticked up slightly to 3.4x% p.a. from 3.3x% p.a. in the past 2 weeks from what I observed, most likely due to depreciating SGD against USD.

Is a 3% T-bill yield worth considering amid rising inflation and reinvestment risks? BT weighs in, and looks at what it means to allocate capital into bonds and equities as an alternative.
