Good news...dunno the price for C2D will drop or not at that time...if yes, then I can grab one for a cheaper price...but I think now Intel very clever...they will stop production for old processor and keep on out with new processor...then the price won't affect much...then they earn all the money...anyway...that just my guess only...dun flame me o...

intel not clever...when they stop old product means that need more $$ for R&D..
intel hav no choice due to AMD...intel must faster come out new product to survive

not all x38 based mobo will come with ddr3, also got ddr2 solution...

hope can get x38 based mobo that can support both DDR2 and DDR3.

there will be X38 supporting D2 and D3, just matter of soon or later ...

from the new price released seems like the old batch of C2D probably would be hold up for package deal ...

shops that got lots of stock of old C2D really scratching the head right now ...

it's so darn cheap for the new Q and E releases... hope to get one soon ...

DDR3 price still extremely expensive at the moment. Maybe it will takes several month for the drop. Thus hopefully penryn will make the DDR3 price drop.

when penryn is pwning C2Qs is when their prices will be cut the most.. hehe..

as the the penryn realeased, intel will stop the production of c2d/c2q..only old stock from shop..the price wont b too much differ..dats is their business strategy..

is it true that Q6600 is not a real quad. its just a quad with 2 c2d..

what does native quad core means ?

intel penryn is the true quad...the c2q n c2e u seen now is just combining 2 c2d chip only...ex. q6600 is the combo of 2 e6600 chip if i not mistaken

Yea true that. Only Nehalem is to be native quad/octo core.

Now, just when i am looking into C2Q, these prices come out.Hmm..I should wait a while longer i guess..

Time to save up for these new babies. Mind me asking, what does the Q9300 have in advantage over the Q6600?

Checkout the amount of L2 cache "sumbat-ed" in the freaking processor! LOL!

No advantages except for its FSB1333 proc compared to Q6600. Q9300 has lower multiplier of 7.5x max, and less cache of 2MB, same TDP for both.
