E8400 which cost Rm650+ 3.00Ghz is 9 X Multipler which need 450 X 9 to reach 4Ghz barrier

i'm using P35-DS3P ~~~ so which one i should get ? i'm a gamer which wanted to have a 4Ghz ++ system

Ahh, Q9450 just about RM200 more compared to the previous Q6600 ?
Q6600's price never go down yet ?

While i am in the midst of getting a new PC, i was considering Q6600 as my proc.

Now with the newer releases, for a non-overclocker, which is the way to go ?
Q6600, Q9300 or Q9450 ?

I am assuming that Q6600 will cost nearly the same as Q9300.
*super proc noob who doesn't know about what the differences of FSB and Cache can do.
All i know is the Ghz difference and that the newer Yorks are on 45nm which are cooler at stock, if i am not mistaken*

choose the proc which have Higher multiplier which will give you more OC headroom for example
take three proc which have multiplier of 8 and 9 or 10
do the maths

8X 400 = 3.2Ghz
9X 400 = 3.6Ghz
10 X 400 = 4Ghz

bcs some motherboard does't support high FSB and bus speed, but for highend yes. Higher multipler means the more Money you need to pay for that PROC for exmaple E8400 is 9X cost Rm668 and E8500 is 9.5X cost Rm998
