damn Q9300 same price with Q6600 but why the Q9300 cache memory lesser than Q6600? hmm! hmm.gif

simple answer, look at the FSB speed, that's why the price is same.

Better u get the Q6600 with G0 stepping with large cache for each core. That's more than enough.

i wan to ask...will these new q9450 really can archive high fsb? current q6600 alot of them cant pass 500fsb and for q9450 is multi 8x which means it really need 500fsb to archive 4ghz...q6600 can be a bit easy due to its 9x multi...i just hope these new yorkies can hit higher fsb which is over 500 easy without hassle..i assume over 500fsb by aircooling tho for standard.

I thought those Dual Cores are still subjected to arrive at 20th January? Only the Quaddies are delayed right?

Besides that, i can see Bulk Section popping out with Penryn already. So by Feb, you are most definitely seeing them at shelves... rclxms.gif

Still deciding whether to go for Q9450. It's 8x multiplier, going over 4Ghz need >500FSB to do that. There's FSB limit. Q9550 is almost RM2k. -.-

Since you already own the Q6600, i guess you can have plenty of waiting time and see whether its achievable or not thumbup.gif If its a dissapointment, you wont loose anything as well..LOL..

Q9450 is 12MB cache and 1333FSB FYI. And the performance difference is quite a gap. Q9450 is around RM1200. RM1800~RM2000 is Q9550.

Also, 45nm Penryn runs much cooler than current 65nm with much less vcore.
