QUOTE
..........Summing up the results we have just seen, I can conclude that if the gamers don't feel like overclocking their processor, they shouldn't go for CPUs with more than two cores. Gamers-overclockers should definitely decide in favor of the Core 2 Quad Q6600, although a strong opposite opinion exists these days............

..........those computer users who do not want to mess with processor overclocking may think differently. In this case Core 2 Duo E6850 with 25% higher clock speed performs better in a lot of applications, including games. Moreover, it is also more economical. As a result, the most optimal choice for a system working at nominal speeds would depends a lot on the type of tasks it is intended for.........

I have no idea why this Q&A Topic is here masquerading as a Hardware topic.. Silly polls.

Still, to help feed the trolls, as long as my games run at native res and maxed out details @ 60fps who cares what you have in your system. The rest of your cash then goes towards blinging out the system.

Actually Gaming in PC does not need to be expensive. This is what most of people made their mistake. If you want to game better buy PS3 for RM2500 or X360 for less than RM2000. I'm not a fan of console but this is fact. The last time i bought was GameBoy Advance hand held console. Actually people can build a good enough gaming PC for the price of X360 or PS3. You did not need Rm2500 card to play latest game, the only reason of the super expensive card is because of the resolutions. smile.gif

Most of the PC Gamers played their game depending on their LCD native resolution or 1280*1024 at best. cool2.gif The best graphic card money can buy for now will be the 8800GTS 320MB or 2900XT. 7900GS or X1950Pro is no slouch either. They can play most games without DX10 (bet least people do because of Vista crap) with no problem at all at high settings. So Quad Core CPU is way too much, for now Core2 6420 or 6600 is good enough for gaming PC.

I have no respect a person who bought super expensive PC then buy/downloaded pirated copy of their game or even their OS/applications claiming that games were expensive. vmad.gif

The reason people buy expensive GPU because of these card can handle high settings in ultra high resolution. These resolution only applied for LCD sized 22" above or using their super expensive 1080p TV or projectors. You see where these leads, it goes to the rich people (minority) like mr.lonely. tongue.gif Only these people can afford these cards, for the majority of people they bought the mid-high range card than can handle high settings in res below 1280 resolution. nod.gif That's why 8800GTS 320 was so popular.

actually Pentium Dual Core E2160 is fair enough d... bout the pirated stuff is because we don buy only 1 game... we buy like 5 games per week on everage... imagine how much u gonna spend...? and those hardware usually last 2-3 years... sweat.gif so don go anti-pirated user... wink.gif

believe it or not... 8800GTS was popular becuz some ppl "think" tat they need 8800 juz to run Vista... cuz they thought it will be in full 3D... and i showed them tat Intel GMA 950 already good enough for tat cuz Vista got 2D mode also... doh.gif
becuz magazines write tat this card is a good budget card for Vista... sweat.gif doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

GPU? I think it depends on your need. Nvidia would the good choice because many manufacturer nowadays collaborate with Nvidia in gaming.

8800GTS and above perhaps?

If ur playing high def games,i think it's appropiate to have a good processor to match up with the GTS,especially if ur using 19 inch LCD and above..
