Moon & Jackie ....i got my engine from a sirII-g 1996 halfcut...cost me around rm7k for halfcut wif rear disc and transport....my car is EG Coupe and i can't wait to collect it this afternoon..

Just want to ask, is it possible to remove the 8th Gen Civic's built in Sound System and replace it with aftermarket ICE?

u can replace the speakers but replace the HU will leave gaps of space and ur steering control might not be able to use.....

curious to find out for his turbo setup.. is the vtec still there to be activated or has been completely ignored for forced-induction? how do you actually manage having a turbo and vtec together?

i've been wondering about this for quite sometime.. i mean.. turbos usually spools at lower revolutions, so i kinda wonder how does the turbo deactivate when vtec activates.. or does the turbo continue spooling even at high revolutions

if u're interested, i can get cheaper by RM100-200++..
just come to visit the shop, i'll try to bargain it for u..

He's here somewhere. Yeah, the turbo will keep on spooling while VTEC is engaged. Turbo will spool all the way after 3k RPM. But my fren told me when the turbo is spooling and the VTEC is engaged, can't really feel the surge but the sound is there

since the turbo will be spooling from low revolutions to high revolutions, wouldn't that increase the wear and tear of the turbo?

Im gonna put up some pics later hopefully....Fully tested the engine today, vtec kicks in at 4400rpm since using DC2 ecu....pickup is heheh, well gives u a smile on ur face...only thing i don't really like is the racing clutch since it makes the car jerk during lower rpms and a bit stiff for normal daily driving....

VTEC surge cant feel at all coz of the turbo. So can only hear the switchover. Turbo wont kong easily one lah bro....got boost controller mah

Not too sure...was busy gawking at his ride. Forget to ask him the details All I know is that the block is stock 1.6, just changed to low compression forged pistons and high cams. The car sounds like GOD to be honest hahahaha Btw, he's using Microtech LT8 something I think. Got such thing?

Got.....oso known as "main kotek" here , the stock 1.6 block is well built so its quite a good choice...u should have recorded his dyno run....it'll make my day

Guess what? Yday had a ride on my friends STI Vr.7. Totally riced out with orange paint. Dang so fast and furious.

285++HP on the wheel, had a short sprint yesterday and WOA, the bloody bubble sound and wastegate sound is the da bomb!

The G force is sweet~ Smooth yet powerful. Looking at the windscreen is like video game effects! The dang car can reach 180km/h in less than 1 km stretch...Haha, was a liitle high after a few drinks though. that sprint really helped in boosting my alcoholic rate.

Was abit surprised that my friend got a scooby which he upgraded from perdana twin turbo.

I donno man, if I got cash i definitely get a scooby. Its really a great car indeed. Seriously, turbo rulez afterall.

@ jenatic: All 4 doorsills + installation for about RM 300++, but less than RM 400. My whole car's mods are done at C.V. Kepong though, not the 8GCC panel... Was at C.V. and modded my car there long before joining 8GCC la...

Currently done all mods I can/want to my car. Contemplating on changing rims/tyres but not so urgent la More crazy on car detailing and care now.

Great mod. I think you detailing is enough for now, just need a set of slick rims and you are ready to roll. Btw, where you get that glowing civic logo on the door trim? That's swweet lookin.
