My current gearbox is S4C. EK9. Can see the wording on it from engine bay.

Final drive is 4.785.

not all final drive is plug & play, Y82/S80 & S4C final drive is different from the others, the differential is different i.e. final drive also different. can plug and play for all if u change the differential as well.

yeap., if not mistaken thats it.

ek9 is 4.4 but he changed it to 4.785.

any pros n cons on doing this?

hehe i think dragging wise, got more power cos of the close ratio?

gear ratio only work on torque, it won't affect hp at all. 4.7 fd give better pick up then 4.4fd, it depend on ur engine set up, u won't see any b20b using 4.7fd.

e-manage is better than neo. but the best bang for $ is go for <crome>, it wayyyyy better than vafc & emanage.

moon, eg should be y21, y80 & s80 is from b18c.

act the most important part of management is tuning. if good ecu but crappy tuning its hopeless too.

right now i m using b16a ECU, if i transplant to B16B, i dun need the b16b ecu right IF i m using a 3rd party ecu management like CROME OR UNICHIP right?

as they are either PIggy back or standalone. m i correct? blink.gif

u still need the ecu, definitely needed for unichip.
for crome, u can use back ur current ecu chipped with crome. but u need obd1 to obd2 socket because b16b wiring is obd2.

izzit? cos from wat i was told, it doesnt apply from the current ECU. the unichip is piggy back onto the OLD ECU. but the new settings are program from the piggy back not the old ECU. wat ever tuning n etc is done n save on the unichip. ONLY IF u remove the unichip, it will return back to the old ecu settings (b16a ecu)

isnt it?

yup...if u remove the unichip, the ecu will reset back to ori settings....unichip the features is a bit less than chrome i was told....but if u really have $$$, then get hondata....its the only one which can do realtime tuning and software is also included...no need to reburn chip everytime u want different settings....

yupe, thats wat i thought too.. cos if u remove the unichip, n it will go back to factory settings, so if thats the case, mebbe i dunnit to get the b16b ecu kua?

ehm.. yo bro, u got link to crome ah? i wanna see the specs n compare.

wah HONDATA 4k-5k wo. i saw b4 at amoil sweat.gif

my boss say unichip also real time tuning wo. a laptop n system is plug to unichip attached to the ecu n dyno, per run they will tune accordingly. that should be "real time" isnt it?

hehe quick quick link, i wan see see n compare
http://www.tunewithcrome.com/ <-- is tis the one?

some guy @ zth selling used unichip for 1k tongue.gif

Yeap. My old gearbox, came with a 4.7FD. Then it kong, so i change to S4C gearbox, swapped the 4.4 for 4.7. With this final drive, sometimes when u drive u feel like switching to 6th gear hehe

moon* u try unichip lo, since they gona give u unlimited dyno runs. I think i will go Crome, its the in thing now amongst budget honda tuners. See which has better tuning smile.gif

I saw in zth, sasuke's b16b stroked to 1.8 with TodaC, 199whp tuned with Crome. Awesome

as i mentioned before, crome is very very similar to hondata but with a very cheap price tag. If u don't plan to learn to tune urself (i doubt since u need dyno & wide band), crome is same as hondata. Crome also can be tune in real time but u need to buy ostrich "Rom emulator".
