That's one of the reasons holding me back from BHP. Many uncertainty regarding the area. I asked the SA and they are not too sure what the plans are for all the surrounding blocks owned by the developer.
Tropicana area is perfect for us but we needed a larger space and in fact bangsar south is super convenient for us as i work in PJ, Damansara, wife works at PJ33 which is 10min.. My parents are in Damansara as well and inlaws in Subang. So location wise, it fits the bill with its huge connectivity, we did the median price/rental research as well, one of the cons are like you said the layouts of the units but I feel Type C onwards are much better.
We've actually looked at over 20 props including both new and subsales, for MK I feel there are alot of options out there for nicer condos for own stay can look at mk10, Hijauan, Residensi 22 or Seni MK.. If you don't mind the jam and for a good deal can check out Aston Kiara 3, Ceriaan etc..
