its always many matches when you newly installed
then as time goes by, you get less and less matches you will start paying for their services and got desperate
good luck with having good pictures, it's not a bulletproof solution

just tried out CMB. i set from 36-45 yrs old.. height 155cm-170cm. 80km within my area. wow get matches with good and great overall outlooks. managers etc etc. after that, i uninstalled.

just ask your kids what are they doing there?
if they say dont know, offer them insights on what's going to happen

The initial matches you get a lot is called newbie boost which basically puts your profile on the upper stacks.

However, in a long run, you'll get lesser matches BUT if you're attractive, your profile will always stay on the upper stacks. Hey, Tinder isn't just for men you know, women use them too. Tinder ain't dumb to show them ugly men. Of course they would put up good-looking folks on the upper stacks. (good looking here meaning profiles that get a lot of right swipes). If you're ugly, Tinder will put you on the bottom stack hence why they complain they're not getting matches. Women who use Tinder swipe very little as basically everyone they swipe is a match, so it makes thing even worse for unattractive men as they're on the bottom stack.

If you don't believe me, try registering new tinder accounts on different numbers. You'll realise the initial profiles you see are always the same group of women. Vice versa is true as well.

TLDR: Attractive people have a free pass on Tinder and you don't need to pay. They get prioritized. Those who pay are often those who don't get a lot of right swipes to begin with.

its tough because most women i think when they swipe 20x already bored already
a lot of women use socmed as validation tool or get bored easily and sign off
i paid for tinder subscription for months, and when it hit 3rd month things started to get so slow
luckily my account got banned so i could close my eyes for good

i had a few memorable ons there, it was fun and exciting (occupation wise)

To address this question of yours ayam need to double back to my earlier comment. You can easily open an account with alias. It is safe to say that others can too, and had. So on the question of reliability, if say 50/50 also maybe giving too much benefit of doubt.

Ayam assume your kids are of legal age to be partaking in online dating apps. Seems that you may need to have a talk with them about this.

If they are 18 to 20yo, still in college, yes la maybe not so familiar with the ways of the world. You'd be telling them about the hazards of seeking relationships with strangers online.

But if your kids are older and have had an independent life of their own for some time, well, they may in turn ask you some awkward questions. Like why are you creeping on a dating app? Why you want to spy on our lives, we adults now?
