Not sure if bezza got space for mech to do job without dropping/taking out the gearbox or not. Assuming it doesn't have enough space,

exedy clutch kit + bearing + rear seal (dunno ori p2 or not)= <>250
labour to drop/pasang gearbox 250-300

see..... cost already rm500-550 and this is excluding the fluids and driveshaft seals.

Maybe the SC figure is relatively cheap afterall.

go to spare part shop, buy all the needed parts.
Find a reliable mechanic. You will only pay for workmanship,

Pros: Cheaper
Cons: u dunno how 'original' the part is. and also if the mechanic is reliable.
SC service - Guaranteed original parts
Cons: Expensive.
Take your pick

exedy clutch good enough.
i dont know if people can get original one anymore from manufacturer. i know toyota support up to 10 years.

Uh what? Replace clutch always have to drop gearbox since the clutch is housed inside the gearbox. Unless you mean drop/take out the whole engine, that’s usually not necessary.

not necessarily
a few factor at play here
1. models of cars...not every cars need to drop the GB...some are easier to work with than others
2. mechanic's skill

U forgot one important thing.

After pasang if it is not satisfactory, mech blame the goods while the seller blame the mechanic fix wrong. Last last need double pay workmanship + buy 2 set of new parts.

lazada/shoppe can ada......

anyway, my P1 buy one set asoba around RM600 for non kayabar brand.
as long as not asking for magic, wont cost more than RM1k

bushings etc. really depends on how much you change.
individually, they are very cheap at around RM50 one set (L+R).
however, really need to know how many you are changing

My foreman quote me around 2k for 4pc absorber with top mountings bush

2k Tukar sekali arm Susah tongue.gif
Just search for kayabar absorber and use those prices as guide.

I also almost got conned by "family pren" foreman before, asking for rm800 for front absorber only.......
I ended up going to another foreman rm800 trw front and back.
Ownself buy, rm500 can get 4 wheels

New clutch plate is max $270 oni.
*
But nobody just change the clutch plate. People will buy a clutch kit including the cover assembly, clutch disc and release bearing . Newer cars better do together with clutch master/slave cylinder or you can call this clutch pump set because the slave cylinder sit inside the transmission bell housing.

expensive but reasonable I guess for the amount of work. drain oil, drop trans, replace clutch, install everything back and check for leak and function.

At least, SC guarantee original & torque spec correct. I rarely see any normal workshop will use torque wrench.
*
Yeah, I guess ok for peace of mind.

wait, you no warranty?
eventhough clutch pad is a wear and tear part, doesnt mean we are expecting it to wear out less then 5 years.

Must be having bad habits like resting the foot on the clutch pedal when driving.
