want to ask the existing owners, without the electronic parking brake(EPB), does it really bother the experience while waiting for traffic light or during heavy traffic?

btw, without EPB, it also has some drawback as I read from (cons #1)

I guess is the same bro, When you auto cruising and ur car stop at 0 KM/H.. EPB will help you brake, instead u need to press brake in 3 sec. After that, u will still need to click the resume auto cruising button with/without EPB to continue ur auto cruising.

Wrong. Without EPB in Corolla cross your auto cruise control in low speed will disengage and your are left with car in D and no braking after 3 seconds of full stop. Means it will crawl and hit something in front of you don’t step on the pedal. You can step and maintain pressure on brake pedal and hold D but you need to fully release the brake pedal before engaging the cruise control again (a 2 step process that is equal to actually just normal driving) or you can step the foot brake and release your foot to rest but your car is in D + handbrake ON and you will need to release it manually when traffic is moving again. Imagine doing either of the above for a few hundred times in a long traffic jam. Defeats the purpose of low speed follow.

In a normal low speed follow, like Altis and Civic and CRV and US speced corolla cross, you only need to let the car fully brake by itself, keep it in D while traffic stops to zero, and when traffic starts again you just press a button on the steering wheel. Can say as totally foot free operation. This allows you to rest your legs in a traffic jam. No need to step on any pedal for anything other than standby for emergency brake if necessary.

I recommend you to try out the feature thoroughly if you think traffic jam low speed follow is important to you, go to a long traffic light and test it out. For me it is a useless feature on Corolla cross while it is a useful feature on other cars I mention above.

Guys, I have a question.

I test drove the new Civic, current gen cx5 and of course the Corolla Cross Hybrid..

There are some good things for the cross such as great suspension even though it is rear torsion beam. However I do notice that the interior space is much narrower compare to cx5 and of course the civic.

Because of the narrow cabin space, I mean the distance between front driver and front passenger is quite short, I actually doubt whether it falls under C segment SUV or actually a B segment SUV.. hmm.gif

Can anyone confirm it is actually C segment SUV?

Of course there are good things about the Cross, the comfort is way better than Civic when going through speed bumps. I need to really slow down to go through bumps but not the case for Cross. Toyota is really good when it comes to suspension comfort..

it is indeed bad, speaker quality like honda city lowest spec but cross sound insulation is still better than my altis 2018
