Marketing gimmick, don't bother to go for anything expensive.

Afterall, they are just floor matt and meant to get dirty.

It should be thickness and whether u like it rather than price. Unker got cheap ultra thick mats which should aid the soundproofing properties on the flooring. It was cheap for the thickness, a bit of DIY cutting to fit and sui sui ngam ngam. that RM30 well worth it cause the mats still rock solid todei 6 yrs later.

don't know.

i use the ori car mats, each car use for 5-7 years kao kao, and sell it off.

Never EVER has the car value dropped due to "eh boss, car mat rosak, car must be cheaper price la".

Even better nowadays with mytukar/carsome, they don't even see these small stuff before offering you a price for you to compare with your other individual/shop offer.

Do you guys also put a protective coating/plastic on top of your selipar/shoe where your leg rests? ya'know to make it "easier" to clean or trap your precious dirt? lol

Trapo is shit, glorified overpriced rubber mat.

Easy cleaning yes, but before you clean, all the dirt and sand is kinda in your face screaming for you to clean them, making your interior look cheap or overused/taxi interior.

Hah if only it was rubber.

It's just foam, similar to product packing foam, albeit higher in density.

The markup for trapo mat is so insane, the cost for them to do the side-panel stitching with some fabric+threads cost more then the mat's material itself.

That’s my style, except in my case the expensive floor mat is the ori one that came with the car. I just buy the thinnest cheapo mat I can find to put on top of the ori mat.

i always wonder how can someone use the original car mat come with the car. I meant if it was a rainy day, The car mat will be very messy, was it not?

especially muddy area, do you just take the original mat and wash it like you do to your house carpet?

I’m using the black rubber mats from Ace Hardware. Lasts quite long and easy to wash. Only downside is the driver side mat will have a hole after a couple years usage due to show heel cucuk daily.

Has been using some China 3D mat. The price is 200+ for a small car. Not bad actually. Quite like that it wrap up to the side of the car wall. Just hard to take out for cleaning.

bro.. all these expensive car mats.. worth it meh?
Doesn't matter the brand - trapo, dodo, enzo.. what 3d Mat..
in the end, its just a floor mat. You'll step on it. I'm using the curly rubber mat kind that tinting shops provide for free. Its ady 8 years and counting..
only driver side there got a hole cuz of the constant rubbing when changing pedals.. otherwise its all good. Sand and stones get trapped. Stepped on muddy water then onto the mat still nice.. just take it out and rinse with water can dy..
buy so expensive for what?

not like you feel the difference with your shoes on.

besides, most important question is..
do you wash the mats yourself first? or do you send to car wash (those cheapo ones - bangledesh workers)
if you send to those cheapo carwash, then buy those expensive mats for what? They simply smack it onto the floor or against each other then throw it back into the car..
so... hmm.gif

My opinion is rather the mat must be efficient in traping dirt/stone etc because all this gets sucked back into your aircond, particularly the front passanger mats.

in terms of looks - original carpet is always the preferred choice but does not trap dirt well, if you clean it very often then no problem
if lazy then maybe dodo because it can trap dirt below (2nd layer), or the maggi mee type rubber.
trapo concept is good, but need to maintain regularly too otherwise defeat the purpose

most important - need to be hard working to clean the mats.

My experience, no need buy top end model. I bought Trapo & some cheap mat from accessories shop and i always buy the lowest option. Since it is mat and will get dirty dont overspend on it.
