having the draw live or not is really not the biggest loophole, the biggest loophole is they can simply rig a machine and backdate a winning ticket. until they publicly tell us how that is not possible, then there will always a possibility..

1. Troublesome and will raise more issue. With the possible heavy network traffic, later video lag ke not clear ke den users will complain again.

2. Nice idea but I don't suggest to publish to public. Can have the data ready for audit. With face revealing somemore you basically telling ppl where the winner live nearby. And I don't think toto want to risk losing customers for revealing their face and locations.

Also later got dispute how? U can say toto changes their file after draw but toto also can say you modified their file after download. What file format you suggest? PDF is not fool proof and also takeout a lot of space unless you say the file is keep for one day only.

Even if it's online query, it will takes heavy tolls on the website and network due to the numbers of entries.

3. Maybe lowyat forum should implement this also. Account must be open with IC and real name. If scare den don't post in lowyat forum.

There are blockchain based lottery systems that already solve all these problems.

I have been to live draw before, a few times. The entire draw is recorded, public and auditors are present to verify, the number balls are kept in box and there're a few sets, those boxes were opened up for the panel to see before putting them into draw machine. There're plenty of CCTVs in the room too. Public will be invited to press button to stop the machine (ping pong jumping around in the air), when the balls settle down, the winning ball will be pushed up. The live draw itself looks pretty solid and legit. The only way they can rig this is backdate the winning ticket. If you managed to hit the jackpot before they decided to "claim" it, you will for sure walk away with the money, that's why there are plenty of real winners out there. perhaps toto should come out and explain why backdating the ticket, a.k.a printing the winning ticket after the result is out is NOT possible. The draw itself is transparent enough.
