My siblings decided to install unifi for our parent house.

The package that we kinda debating right now is whether to take 100 Mbps or 300 Mbps

100 Mbps - RM 129
300 Mbps - RM 199

As many have known that after contract period ended, for the package 100 Mbps can become 300 Mbps by accepting staywithunifi counter offer. Is there any offer for the package RM 199?

How 30 Mbps get the same upgrade as 100 Mbps? They counter offer or you just walk in to the TM Point asking if they got any good offer?

This is definitely the best budget package right now. How do you able to get one?

Owh yaaa.. During the Gobind era. That's the best era for unifi user but the most painful for tm 😅.

The best offer Plan After his era, I presume is the SWU offer. Other than that just normal price

Is this SWU offer available towards the future or has its limited time period to apply?

Ahhh... Yaaa... This one also need to clarify with TM. Coz last time they did some sort of that plan with discount for 24 months only. After contract ended, it reverts back to the original price

Turbo Upgrade already good enough. Why do you need SWU? Don't your 500 Mbps get cheaper price during Gobind era?

I dont know about you guys on 500 Mbps, but my 800 Mbps TM ask kaw2 to recontract my term. Because it is the fastest speed already, they try to play around by asking to upgrade modem. And the most time they called was on trying to persuade me with the new TV box (2 version upgrade so far since the last white box). In their system, I am using the white box.

So saying you'll not get offer i think its not true la. They always have offer. But whether it's worth it to you its all up to your judgement la IMO

Anyone take 300 Mbps with mesh on recent unifi plan (not the old ones)? What Wifi 6 mesh did they give?

I think it is not the contract that he's concern of. It's whether the those 8 free app bundles still remain free after 24 months or not.

To be honest I also have the same doubt as you.

EDIT: Free 8 apps rather than free 5 apps it is tempting enough cause no additional cost

For Deco X50 just set the guest mode with password. And then set the security to the lowest. It would became Wi-Fi 5 ID which is great compatible with older device. So now there will be ID for Wi-Fi 6 (by default) and ID for Wi-Fi 5. I've done the same for my Deco X20.
