Yes, higher speed got lower issues, as most buffer send out without getting long waiting time.
*
yeah. indeed.

ultimately, i think it depends how many ppl are using the line at the same time or how many concurrrent connections are there at one time i guess.

if it is only 1 or 2 person is/are using the line, normally it will not give much prob for latency.

It also depend on where is the bottleneck, like if it is limited by WiFi/cable speed, not ur UniFi speed, then it will be low latency while unable to run full speed on another WiFi device.

And say no to interleaved.

Like ADSL, when it is g.DMT with FAST, running at full speed without traffic shipping, the latency cap at 300ms max.
With interleaved, it will rock sky high to 1k ms.

This is also reason why VDSL is feeling strange compare with fiber, not just the latency is higher, the heavy interleaved take long time to recover from bufferbloat, + it is 30M max, worst.
*
Indeed. Maybe Becos I am using mesh routers which it create more hops for the traffic as well.

Tested at the main router. It does make a difference comparing to test upstairs with child nodes.

RM 199 - 500Mbps SWU 2.0 (Old)
RM 179 - 500Mbps SWU 3.0 (New)

For 800Mbps SWU 3.0, not sure if there is a change or not
*
What about 300Mbps SWU 3.0? Same as 2.0? Rm129.

With same price RM 69:

Allo: Download 100 mbps, upload 100 mbps.
Unifi: Download 30 mbps, upload 10 mbps.  doh.gif
*
i find that symmetric speed (both upload and download) always give better overall user experience.

Yea  haha !! Finally renewed my broadband contract and planning to use this pair of mesh routers for my inlaw's house but couldn't get them to work. Had you tried using them for Unifi before?
*
No. I had this lousy wifi router before but I sold it to use Linksys one when I used StarHub fibre broadband previously.

If free router by lion city ISP, most of them do not work with unifi Becos no VLAN setting in them.

you can buy cheap VLAN switches to untag them in-between

ONU <--> VLAN SWITCH <--> ROUTER
*
Yes I know. Too troublesome to do so. No point. And VLAN switch is not exactly very cheap which one can use it to buy a better wifi router with VLAN function already.

RM 99 - 100Mbps
RM 119 - 300Mbps
RM 179 - 500Mbps
Maybe RM 249 - 800Mbps
*
RM99 for 100Mbps is good if there is a free speed upgrade in September.

i did ask the staff if ur still in contract and wanted to grab the swu plan, they said usually if remaining period is 6mths and below, they will just proceed.
