Yes, higher speed got lower issues, as most buffer send out without getting long waiting time.

It also depend on where is the bottleneck, like if it is limited by WiFi/cable speed, not ur UniFi speed, then it will be low latency while unable to run full speed on another WiFi device.

And say no to interleaved.

Like ADSL, when it is g.DMT with FAST, running at full speed without traffic shipping, the latency cap at 300ms max.
With interleaved, it will rock sky high to 1k ms.

This is also reason why VDSL is feeling strange compare with fiber, not just the latency is higher, the heavy interleaved take long time to recover from bufferbloat, + it is 30M max, worst.

Recently came across 2 Nokia Beacon 1 mesh router, has anyone has some luck setting them up with unifi modem? Tried them in PPPoE mode but still no luck.

Yea  haha !! Finally renewed my broadband contract and planning to use this pair of mesh routers for my inlaw's house but couldn't get them to work. Had you tried using them for Unifi before?

you can buy cheap VLAN switches to untag them in-between

just went to tmpoint in kepong to ask for swu3.0, apparently it did come with a DLINK WIFI6 mesh router @ 119/mth, eventho not going to use it, but can sell cheap2..

i did ask the staff if ur still in contract and wanted to grab the swu plan, they said usually if remaining period is 6mths and below, they will just proceed.
