didn't really took a closer look to kr150 actually, looks great. But if you were me, where would you scout for bikes ?

kr150 is 2 stroke, anything else besides fz150 which is 4 stroke?

appreciate your response bro

Try www.mudah.my

4-stroke bikes, can consider the new Suzuki Belang-R about 9k on the road.
Second hand below 5k, can consider a second hand Suzuki FXR150, or you want moped type?

hi there...
i'm planning to nudge into the world of superbike, planning to start at 250cc 1st,then only upgrade to a bigger wan..
my choice would be kawa's ninja 250R...
my question is,how much is the maintanance fee yearly?
how long do i had to service it if i were to ride it everyday?
and how much is the price of the tyre if i were to change it to a bigger size?
and where can i find yoshimura's exhaust in penang?and how much does it cost rougly?
any experts here can help me?
thanks alot...
*
Good bike to start with. Brand new at 20k, I think.
For the maintenance fee and frequency, I'm not familiar. Can ask bike shop and bike manual?

Tires ah, what size you want? Can try Racingmate at Dato Keramat road near Komtar for Bridgestones.

Yoshimura exhaust, ask Megafortune or Guan cycle I'd guess... not sure also. Good luck!

liquid cooled engine and air cooled.. which one is good for long distance?
i'm still considering between Honda Cick and Icon.. huhu

How long? Those moped can go long distance as long as don't full throttle, and rest in between 200km.

liquid cooled, but actually for a small scooter its no difference..air cooled bike like my old Virago (sold already) work fine on long distance ride, its all on the engine block design
for me, no chance!

Suzzy just release their not-so-new Belang 150R and Yammie have their FZ150i

and the Belang is really delicious  drool.gif only if it have more power.. but already more power then FZ actually..

Hehe, true, the price would be too much for us, might as well consider ER6-n with that.

Yeah, scooters. The belts should be similar to timing belt material, should last very long like 30000-60000 km or something, right? Some more the RPM is less than engine timing belt, should be ok I guess...

Scooter is designed for downtown commuting, but nobody say cannot go highway. Just not suitable la... like using toothbrush to sweep floor.

Ride slow to preserve the engine reliability la.

V-rod stock cannot go high RPM, right? So these are torque, low-end RPM machines. Maybe not designed for racing, but they can do touring pretty well. These big bikes have clunky gears, so they have minor gearing problem that is sensitive to engine oil and temperature...

ER-6n... yummie. Any take for the CBR929?

Dunno never have a chance to ride a VRod before laugh.gif but normally engine characteristic of a V-Twin for a cruiser, yeah, not a high revving machine but the torque drool.gif

one of the most moment that I remember my Virago 535 is the moment u get into 1st gear, u will hear the sound "KLAK"...yeah..loud one... showing there is one hell of a gearbox in there thumbup.gif

yep...ER6n...good for fat lazy no skill rider like me blush.gif and what you mean by any take for the 929? my view on it or?
*
yeah 929, I like the looks, and read some reviews on it. I wanna hear from riders, or if you know any word of mouth about that bike?

Dear all,anyone can help me,

I need a tips on how to care TZM's PV. any advice to keep my Plastic pulley from melting. The was a time where it didnt last 3 hours right after i took my TZM out of the shop..

Thanks!!
*
I assume good quality PV pulley is used, and 2T flow is ok.
Also, if PV installation not right, the PV jam and the bike will overheat melting anything along the way.
Is exhaust clogging with dead oil?

well, i suggest you save the money... if you enjoy riding, go for bigger bikes. Anything of those will not outlast the EX5 that you current owning. smile.gif Unless you plan to ride the highways more often, then go ahead.

Checkout your EX5 market value on mudah.my

Kurtkob78, in this case, you need a suitable bike for that distance daily. Read back a few pages, there's another fella in your dilemma too. I suggested him a KRR150.

Again, I suggest to keep the EX5 for short distance riding around the neighborhood. The bigger bikes need proper warm up to run better...

ZZR is here to stay, and the legacy goes on with the 250R.
ZXR is long gone, but still a formidable bike.

Amane: your 125z did you leave it overnight at mechanic shop when this happen?

stanley: thanks for the compliments. I'm just another rider, but don't mind sharing my recommendations, based on what I've read, experienced and from others.

First of all, hope you enjoy the shift from FZ to KRR, let the folks here know.

2T: I personally use Shell VSX. If you want better, seek out Motul semi-synthetic blends. I would look for shops that still have VSX old stock (the one where the opening is slanted at one side, instead of at the center top of the bottle) and ask for bulk discount. I can get RM18 each for 24 can box. New package at RM20 for 12 can box. Retail price RM22.

4T: Gearbox sump only, use Motul Ester based 10W-40, or Motul TransOil 10W-30. 5k change is good for 2-stroke bike.

Gearbox: I guess it's the new clutch plates. Can explain more detail how is it difficult?
- Up shift during moving (2-3-4...)? Should not happen.
- Standing stop when reducing from 2nd to Neutral? Normal, pratice makes perfect.
- Reducing gear while bike is moving and engine is off (I do this when reaching carpark smile.gif)? Normal, the clutch is semi-locking the gear, especially harder when reducing from 3-2.

Randy,
If tubeless, fix the leak with a 'worm'? Else, try change tube with a friend's help or something?
