Ridiculously priced. Standalone and with all the add ons...it's going to hurt the wallet.

if u compare the spec, actually the Mac studio with M1 Max is quite a lot cheaper comparing to the price of macbook pro with similar spec.

Finally, Mac Mini replacement with plenty of power.

Might consider since I'm still using the 2012 with maxed out specs.

But at USD 3999 for the M1 Ultra, it is very expensive just to run some apps.

Cannot compare with Macbook Pro. The studio no monitor, no keyboard, no mouse...

But for those with setup already is ok. But to run M1, apple keyboard is not same i think. Not sure.

But i am getting the studio, old Mac already retirement age.

Imagine the M1 Ultra chip in a MacBook Pro moving forward.. that's crazy amount of computing power...

Intel must be feeling the heat...

And here my designers are asking me for the new studio already LOL.
How to justify the cost to management, always a tough decision to make haha.

it is after comparing to macbook pro with the consideration of no display, keyboard etc. therefore i said it is reasonable.

one who needs a portable device with the similar spec which is macbook pro will pay.

u compare a macbook pro with m1 max chip, u will know that the price is justifiable not to mention the extra ports etc on mac studio.
the extra u paid for the macbook pro with m1 max chip is for the display, touchpad, portability etc.

mac studio with M1 Max chip 10-core CPU and 24-core GPU = RM 8,799
macbook pro 14-inch with M1 Max chip 10-core CPU and 24-core GPU = RM 13,199.00

the price is justifiable.

This is not a replacement for Mac Mini. Totally different league. This is a brand new product. I believe they will refresh Mac Mini later.

Sadly the workload isn't that high that it warrants time savings for the moment. Still have down times based on the demand from the business LOL

Exactly. And I thought I could be looking forward to replacing my 2016 i7 Mac Mini soon. Alas, at that price, it is not to be. Will wait for the actual Mini replacement.

in the first place, if u are normal user, u should just with M1 range of products.

you are more hard-core video/photo editor, then go with M1 Pro or M1 Max.

If you are extremely hard-core one then go for M1 Ultra.

They are totally different range of products which is similar to how intel ranges their products from i5, i7 to i9 too.
of course only difference is that the performance is day and night difference for apple M chip.

more GPU cores becos most uses mac to do video editing which GPU is one the key to decide the performance.

Just that feel like apple asks us to pay more for something that we don’t really need, the too much gpu cores.. i want the best processor yes, but not too emphasize on gpu cores

I dun agree. Apple is just making the full range of products to suit different groups of users. They dun expect u to buy things u dun need that’s why u have the choices.

But it seems i’m lack of choice here 🤷🏻‍♂️ I wish they make 2 version of their top end proc, one is emphasis on just raw processing power, the other with gpu emphasis..
