If you want a good comparison between a PSP and NDSL, compare their selling features:

PSP is very powerful, sort of like a portable PS2 with widescreen, so if you love PS2 games, and feel like carrying a small PS2 around, get the PSP. The powerful system also allow the PSP to do more things, the PSP can emulates more powerful old consoles better than the NDSL does, via homebrews, although, both system seems to have a good range of emulators. Well, why am I mentioning emulators? Because emulators = More games.

Another selling point of a PSP would be the Media player, but this can be easily countered by NDSL with a proper flashcart(R4) and homebrews, a bit more confusing, but it works, on a smaller screen though.

As for the NDSL, whilst being a lot less powerful, it is like a portable N64, almost on par with the PSOne if we don't count the catridge capacity. The selling points are of course the dual screen and the touchscreen/stylus. If the games properly utilize both features you get a very satisfying gameplay that the PSP will not give.

Another thing I am amazed with the touchscreen is how much it can do, for gaming, the touch screen can simulates unlimted "buttons" for control purpose. It also works as a mouse in most games, or a drawing pen, or even simulate a keyboard to be used in many homebrews(MSN, IRC, etc.).

Simple put, I disagree with the saying of the NDSL being solely a handheld console, i have been doing MSN and even painting artworks with my NDSL but of course, for it to do more, you will need a flashcart(R4). After all, the choice is yours, so decide well.

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention, the NDSL plays GBA's cartridges, which means, if we add the GBA games library to NDSL, you get to play a crazy bunch of more games on it.

I don't know whats included in your package, but usually, I would buy the Microsd separately from another shop specifically selling computer stuff.(e.g. lowyat plaza)

If I remember correctly, they sell 1GB bundle at RM720, so you add 80 to replace the 1GB with 2GB, but think about it this way, if you buy the 1GB bundle at RM720, and use the other RM80, add 20 more to buy another 2GB for PC stores(2GB kingston is about rm100 currently), you get 1GB+2GB =3GB.

But then, if you calculate this way: a R4 is about RM150, 2G microsd RM100, both equal to RM250. RM800-RM250 = RM550, so you have your console at RM550 which is the normal price of non-R4-bundle NDSL, quite cheap actually and pretty much worth it I guess. biggrin.gif

Since you are going that way, here's a step by step method to calculating how many "ahem" games that you can fit into a 2GB micro SD card...and these set of steps are a personal favourite of mine:

i. Go to google.com
ii. Search for you "ahem" games. Let me help you with one of the keywords: ROM
iii. Once you find the game that you like...download it!
iv. Once downloaded, don't forget to uncompress it, they are usually available on the Net as .Zip or Rar files to save on download time.
v. Right click the ahem game file (it ends with the extension .nds) and click on Properties.
vi. What do you know...the size is stated on the Properties page!
vii. Now...do the math! Remember...not all ahem games come in the same size!

I think you should have noticed from the start that talk about pirated games is not allowed, and since you had the common sense to remove your earlier post, do try to find out more about "the web of ahem games" somewhere else. Google will be your best friend when it comes to that... here's the link -> www.google.com

Just don't ask questions that can be easily answered via google, even better, every time you have a question, search around first before you ask, chances are that you get your answers instantly without people badmouthing you. If you need opinions, I can let you have my thoughts though. smile.gif

and last but not least, don't mention the ahem stuff lah, people here seem to get upset when they heard it, well of course, that is exactly why the stuff are called ahem stuff.
