My review (taste is subjective, what is good for me might not be good for you):
1. Bankara Ramen: Oily, but doesn't taste as good as others in the list. 5/10 2. Ramen Bar Shi Shi Do: One of the best ramen restaurant in PJ, their main branch at The School, Jaya One which is next door, offer more variety of ramen. 9/10 3. Bari-Uma Ramen: Tried once, never thought of going back for more. 6/10 4. Menya Mushashi: The only outlet inside Isetan 1 Utama, which is going for closure soon, please go and try this one first! 7/10 5. Ippudo: Chain ramen restaurant, taste not as good as others. 5/10 6. Chiba Ramen: The address on the FB page is wrong, it's actually at Taman Cheras, provides affordable ramen for customers. 7/10 7. Torazou Ramen: I like the squid ink ramen, one of a kind ramen restaurant. 7/10 8. Super Ramen: More to fusion ramen than traditional, taste is so so for me, some may like it, but not me. 6/10 9. Menya Hanabi: Famous for maze-soba actually, I think only they serve this kind of food in klang valley, ramen I've not tried before. 10. Hokkaido Raman Santouka: Pork cheek ramen is good. 8/10 |

QUOTE(ZeroSOFInfinity @ Feb 22 2022, 01:52 PM) Wait, isnt no.2 closed already? They moved somewhere else IIRC. Menya Shi Shi Do just moved to another building "The Gasket Alley", just outside of Jaya One walking distance, now called Ramen Bar Shi Shi DoAnd for no.9, is it the dry ramen type, where you add rice at the end? Not sure if its the exact same ramen recipe, but previously I actually hated the ramen in Jaya One, now new place seems okay +1 to Menya Musashi, abit hesitant to recommend because nanti long queue pulak bila nak makan btw I believe they will be moving to the 1Utama new block soon since Isetan will be closing This post has been edited by winter01942: Feb 22 2022, 01:59 PM |

For now they only have Ramen Bar Shi Shi DoAnd for no.9, is it the dry ramen type, where you add rice at the end? Maze soba is not ramen, it's a completely different dish. Yes you can request for a little bit of rice at the end. I think Mazemen is the dry ramen you're looking for. |

Sei-rockya takes the top spot for halal ramen
Taste wise very similar like at Japan. But the feeling is different when eating ramen during the winter vs Malaysia climate |

Ramen taste is really based on individual preferences.
You will get different taste at different regions like Hokkaido, Fukuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo. |

QUOTE(k_yagami @ Feb 22 2022, 02:02 PM) Menya Shi Shi Do closed down already, not sure where they will move to. For now they only have Ramen Bar Shi Shi Do Think I eaten once before - it's located in Sri Petaling. You order ramen, but dry version - once you finish the noodles. you ask for white rice to eat with the balance of the items inside the bowl. Believe it's called Menya Hanabi also.Maze soba is not ramen, it's a completely different dish. Yes you can request for a little bit of rice at the end. I think Mazemen is the dry ramen you're looking for. |

Tried...
ShiShiDo bariUma MenyaMushashi Bankara Ippudo they never list Kanbe My top rate goes by Kanbe, if u want variety and good soup. their noodles and soup cook to perfection Ichikakuya, This is standard tonkotsu ramen. they have good pork broth, and with thich and thin noodle to select. pretty good noodles. and also good soup Menya Shishido, now ramen bar shishido. classic is very good. but their creative variety like 2 mix soup or 3 mix. is good combo too Bankara, I only go for their specialty, the pork slice and sesame pork broth. among every ramen, Bankara is the most expensive. One bowl for RM 50 This post has been edited by munak991: Feb 22 2022, 02:21 PM |

Yes It's same place that I've tried it. It's actually maze soba, not sure why they have to include it in the ramen list. |
