Is it just me?
Kdi invest account always runs negative. Over the past month, it has never run positive. Already set to very conservative.

Tech, Semiconductor & AI Stocks has been on massive downtrend since early July and prices have dropped back Jan/Feb level. Coupled it with the strengthening of MYR lately, it sure gonna be a long journey back up to June's profit level.
*
Keeps dropping even more. Maybe need to hold for a whole year.

For decade long investment, won't something with less risk is more sensible? Such as epf, kdi save, and property.

min  10%p.a  You want to outperform EPF.
EPF is your benchmark
Add in 2-3%p.a extra for currency depreciation of the ringgit.
*
Thanks, that gives me a clearer target.

Don't follow me. Remember my risk tolerance maybe higher than yours. So what works for me or what I want may not be suitable for you. I can still sleep if my stocks drop my 30-50%. Can you tahan that?
*
I invest kacang only. Main pocket in kdi save smile.gif

It's not limited to KDI. You need to decide it somewhere down the road how you are going to approach your future. Do you want to invest or just put it into EPF. What is your risk appetite. If your risk is small put more into EPF.
*
Right, EPF is my go-to after my parents passed. The house rental roi is not as good as EPF. The KDI save, I will keep until 55 years old and all in EPF.

What is your risk profile now? I was setting it on high and the account has been in negative for months. I just switched it to very conservative and it improved visibly.
Will next quarter be a good time to raise the risk profile since s&p 500 estimated to bull?

Financial noob question.

Since epf now has account 3vthat can withdraw in 7 days, with annual dividend that is over 4%. Would it not make KDI save obsolete? Why not I deposit into account 3 instead?

After 50k in kdi save, you guys still continue or diversify? Put in epf? Is 3% still attractive?

I see, is 3.5% still attractive to you? Any other product that has 4% or above other than epf?

If look back at earlier review KDI invest not really making money... but its all depends on your wish and also timing of in and out as KDI invest is a trust fund where KDI save is like a money market fund just for saving purpose...
*
My last year kdi invest has been fully negative sad.gif

sometimes i think do my OLD MUMMY method. FD and fixed income . slowly but surely might just do the trick.
Capital forever conserve. We can educate and say NOT INFLATION hedge. $$$ not growing blah blah
but i see her.. every month just
take FD interest cukup for her lifestyle. vs try to invest here there everywhere.. long run i think come up to the same. Win some lose some

Just chase FIXED INCOME and FD return enough
*
After I reach 50k in kdi saving, Kwsp would be my choice. The kdi saving's 4% not even enough for unifi bill.
Fd better than Kwsp?

enjoy while opr not reduce. once reduce , 4% also hard to get

Actually, KDI is just a "better than nothing" saving account for me. 4% in 50k really is nothing. Without this, I will just epf it all.

In my opinion, can save money to KDI to enjoy 4% while can standby for emergeny use
*
4% of 50k these days really is nothing much, but as I mentioned, better than nothing lar. I no need to worry about emergency, I'll just epf it.

Are you saying that because you are older than 55?

I worry about liquidity thats why cant voluntarily put in EPF
*
No, but if you have a bunch of money you haven't touched in a couple of decades, might as well Kwsp it.
Kdi is the next best thing, just the 50k limit at 4% is just 166 profit per month. 166 is nothing these days.
