Normal bank have PIDM, KDI investment is considered liquid and low-risk alternatives to your typical saving accounts thus they are able to give higher interest. And their service is regulated by SCM and BNM so there are strict rules and regulation that they must follow.

Aiyo, what's so leceh. Maybe you can open a bank with the better FD rates now. Bank Islam and MBSB among highest now. MBSB can do online for their promo rates, so could be better choice for you. Both banks opening account are relatively pleasants. But I read in FD thread the BI promotion quota might be full soon.

PS: Other than Bank Rakyat, I think I have an account with every other local banks. I am an ATM card collector....🤣

Just done another placement at 4.5% 18mths at PBB. This time i discovered my OCBC FX is only RM10k, but transfer limit is 50k, so i transfer to another bank account and FPX from there.

1) if tomorrow withdraw before 11am, you get fund by evening tomorrow

2) if you forgotten tomorrow before 11am, at least still can get fund by next day evening

3) if you do on 9th before 11am, ok la, not much loss

4) however if you forgotten to withdraw before 11am on the 9th, then you wont get the fund until 12th evening.
