Hi guys, just wondering, is KDI Save the "best" cash investment vehicle in Malaysia? Or TnG GoInvest Save better? Or something else?

QUOTE(1mr3tard3d @ Oct 2 2023, 11:12 AM) u just need to be aware that money market fund may invest in bond/sukuk, which may be subjected to default risk Do we know the underlying fund?how do u think goinvest providing a net return of 3.7% p.a. while go+ was around 3.5% p.a.? u may assess the risk by reviewing the goinvest/go+ interim report unfortunately, there is none for KDI if u r looking for higher return, surely u need to take on additional risk |

Guys, how long does it take to reflect deposits into KDI Save?
Mine has been an hour still as pending. Shouldn't it be instantly? |

I deposited some money this morning, only just reflected in account. But it didn't earn interest! Usually, same day deposit before 11am, it will be updated with earned interest for that day!
Did they change things? |

QUOTE(Sitting Duck @ Apr 9 2024, 10:18 PM) I'm getting daily interest and when I calculate it using the formula given in the KDI website, I always have few cents more. If you do it correctly, it should either be exactly the same, or at most, different by 1 cent. https://digitalinvesting.com.my/save/ Formula given: Daily Interest Amount=Value of investment × ((1+EAR)^(1⁄365)-1 ) If the difference is greater than 1 cent, you're calculating incorrectly. |

Protip: You can do the withdrawal on the day before as well, since the interest is credited at 5pm already. No need to wait until the next day morning to do the withdrawal.

QUOTE(Optizorb @ Oct 1 2024, 05:06 PM) If I withdraw tomorrow morning before cut-off time 11am, the money should get around late evening/night right.. You can already submit withdrawal from previous day 5pm. You will get the previous day's interest as the interest crediting time is 5pm. But obviously if you withdraw the following day before 11am, you won't get an additional day's interest. If you put into FD, HYSA, ASNB immediately on the day of withdrawal, you won't lose one days worth of interest ma.I was wondering whether will also get the interest for the day or wont get any interest |

Is there any issue if want to withdraw a large sum of money, say RM50k from KDI Save?
If yes, what are the extra steps and what is the cutoff threshold? |

QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Apr 23 2025, 08:15 PM) no PDF for this. The simple interest per annum is 4.0%but if you know what a chrome debugger is / or you have a trusted family member in IT, can do as below » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « i just did this and i calculated that the daily interest is actually 3.913% paBut the daily compounded interest is actually lower at: (1+(0.039223/365))^365 In other words, the daily compounded interest rate is 3.9223% |
