Bro nothing to worry if you still want to use KDi
The questions may appear daunting my answer  to them was simple and they accepted

more like  formality.. just like  when  bank  with hold  your online transaction,
call up to verify then release the "hold".

i kena so many times esp CIMB, despite using their Apps approval done.
as long as you dont trigger them, you wont kena that letter
not like survey at all, is like wanting to know all your wealth.....
eKYC was done at beginning no one can escape

this letter is triggered when the amount of money accumulated in KDI  has gone beyond what your income /wealth bracket
as declared earlier.

My 5th account belong to my son an undergraduate in UM, straight away kena soon after i started using his name.
is normal for  the trigger,
student studying why so much money - Simple
money from my father  done!
nothing new , see the email they sent to my son.

now  you can be more confident, alert system already there  since beginning.

I suspect the funds are all invested overseas in a foreign currency. Since the election, ringgit has strenghtened so much against most other currencies so naturally you would expect your funds balance to drop.

Another thing to note is how much commission your fund is charging. My fund charges about 0.1% (in Aust) and that is quite competitive - i suspect fund managers in Msia charges at least 2%/annum on your balance. It is important to know the commission the funds charge otherwise all the money you invest in are eaten up in fees. Malaysia is not a country where fees are publicly announced (transparently lacking) which is partially the reason why foreign funds are reluctant to come in.

I think it depends on the fund about transparency, there are still many funds that provide full transparency. but obviously not for KDI

They don’t need to promote because their AUM already hit 1billion in less than year 🤦‍♀️

SA doesn’t have promo for MMF while Versa most depositors are younger generation hence lower AUM means more marketing promotions 👏
That is why they limit only 50k 🤦‍♀️ otherwise they have to take care the banks and let their friends make some money

Forget about KDI Invest because it is not as transparent as you think and their robo for allocation is horrible 🤦‍♀️
Check again 🤦‍♀️ because I will received an email everyday sharp at 4.30pm on the payout
