QUOTE(abcn1n @ Feb 22 2022, 01:07 AM) QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Feb 22 2022, 10:02 AM) if we start losing our principal.. nobody will dare invest in MMF funds already. Interest rate not guaranteed then more likely.. could fluctuate between 1-3%. PIDM protected means if the company go bust, you get to claim some amount based on their limit. For these online MMF funds don't have such protection so there's a risk on that. Most of them are tied to big banks anyway.. so easy to go bust? still best to diversify your investments, don't put all in one basket. anything happen to 1, you still have others that are ok. QUOTE(tehoice @ Feb 22 2022, 10:06 AM) QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Feb 22 2022, 10:35 AM) yeah.. whole Malaysia affected that time. jfi, a forummer mentioned the "problem" of this CMF fund just last month....as long they well managed then no issues.. so far I see local banks all doing ok. if still concern then read through a bank's financial report. Any public listed company will have that at their website. This post has been edited by MUM: Feb 22 2022, 12:57 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(ky33li @ Feb 24 2022, 07:17 PM) Strongly against investment in KDI Invest. My risk profile is “conservative” but it ended invested in “Agressive” porfolio for me. Send email to customer service but after two days still cannot find out what is the problem. in the mean time i have to bear the losses. That is bad, especially in times like this.... All mkts down badly.. |

QUOTE(lovelyuser @ Feb 25 2022, 10:08 PM) ![]() The nominal rate of KDI Save is 2.25%, which means if your placement is more than 200k, whatever amount above 200k will get 2.25%. And if after promotion end (31st Dec 2022), provided OPR still maintain the same, KDI Save will still give 2.25%pa return. So KDI Save can generate 2.25% for investor, and now they giving 3%, hence the difference of 0.75% pa Hope my explanation is easy to understand. So after the promo period,... Those cost will come into their operation causing them not able to continue to gives the 0.75% more? |

QUOTE(lovelyuser @ Feb 25 2022, 10:24 PM) It depends if the marketing dept still can get such budget for promotion, but to my opinion not likely continue the same campaign, will get backfire like TnG GO+. So it was most probably actually this "It depends if the marketing dept still can get such budget for promotion, but to my opinion not likely continue the same campaign" and not "The 3% guarantee probably is their marketing cost as they saved the cost of intermediary, call center, fund manager etc"They are starting from zero, this is the time they grow the customer base, gain AUM, market awareness, encourage referral through world of mouth and establish brand name, hopefully marketing dept will get lot's of budget and throw to us, just like how TnG started, Boost, Shopee, Lazada... Most likely they will encourage customer transfer from KDI Save to KDI Invest. Probably the next promo will be giving cashback by transfer to KDI Invest? Hopefully.... Promotional Money used to spend to market the KDI instead of using the money saved from marketing cost to gives back to the depositors🤔🤔 This post has been edited by MUM: Feb 25 2022, 10:48 PM |

QUOTE(Davidtcf @ Mar 2 2022, 10:31 AM) Ok la.. since they already stress tested it before launch of product: From SA....they too have it. better than Freddy Lim simply dumping people's money into KWEB Just a note though, I think Data from the past years would definitely does not contains data on XI or Putin current actions.... Thus that is why some people want an active managed platform that is dynamic... But that would also can be changed just overnight like the case over Interpac funds... KDI Save offers a promotional fixed return of 3.0% per annum for the first RM 200,000 in cash deposits made until 31 December 2022.
The rates for any placement above RM 200,000 would be 2.25% per annum. https://kclau.com/investment/kdi-save-review/ So that 200k will get 3%,...what about those interest earned? Will only get 2.25%pa or 3%pa? (as it is not considered as cash deposit... But interest earned or will they consider interest earned as cash deposits too? ) 🤔🤔 This post has been edited by MUM: Mar 28 2022, 03:09 PM |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Mar 29 2022, 09:31 AM) .... As it is a deposit, then it would be as follows..above 200k why should KDI pay 3% again? How if some put RM10 million and earn so much interest and that interest is asking KDI for 3% beyond the RM200k? "KDI Save offers a promotional fixed return of 3.0% per annum for the first RM 200,000 in cash deposits made until 31 December 2022. QUOTE(guy3288 @ Mar 29 2022, 11:20 AM) You didn't get my point, read again. So that means the earlier post by a forummers questioning that if he will get 200k x 3% interest after 10 days.... Is he will not continue to get 3% on all his money for the I terest earned will exceed 200k n the rate will be reduced for any access of 200k...Imagine i deposit rm200million, my accumulated returns now Rm229000, would KDI pay 3% for this? You argue this is not deposit, it is interest ,i doubt kdi can pay 3% for any amount above 200k, whether deposit or interest ...... |

QUOTE(Alocasia @ May 11 2022, 03:19 PM) Maybe just maybe, they are trying to get on the same train. 😁🤑"Asia stock stars may see more tailwinds even as world tightens" (May 8): Fed hikes, decades-high inflation and Covid lockdowns in China are only adding to investor bets that Southeast Asia’s stock markets may be one of the best places to park their money right now. Buyers are touting an economic reopening and the region’s attraction as a hedge against higher commodity prices, which is helping the MSCI Asean Index break out of a three-year relative downtrend versus its global peer. Foreign funds have been net buying Southeast Asia shares every month of this year, with total inflows of US$10 billion so far, Bloomberg-compiled data show. https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/asia...-world-tightens |

Withdrawal Terms
You may withdraw your investment at any time with no withdrawal limit. For investments above RM200,000, withdrawals will be based on the “First-In, Last-Out” principle that is, withdrawals will be made from the investment pool with the lowest return rate first until such investment has been exhausted before withdrawal is applied to the investment pool with the return rate of 3% per annum. https://digitalinvesting.com.my/save/ |

QUOTE(lovelyuser @ May 18 2022, 10:17 AM) I figured it out how they calculate the interest rate for KDI Save when your total value above 200k What about when you hv 210k?3% on return, regardless how much is your total value 1st 200k of Net Deposit at 3% Subsequent amount of Net Depsoit at 2.25% With that, if your Net Deposit at 200k, return let say 10k, you will still get 3% on total value of RM 210k All 210k will get 3%, Or 200k will get 3%, while the balance will get 2.25% Isn't it puzzling when "3% on return, regardless how much is your total value" Then hv this again? "1st 200k of Net Deposit at 3% Subsequent amount of Net Depsoit at 2.25%" This post has been edited by MUM: May 18 2022, 10:36 AM |
