I am abit concerned on using fintech such as TransferWise to bridge towards the platform... From what I have calculated, the forex rate is roughly equal on MIDF/FSMOne/Rakuten when you do it both ways (RM > USD > RM), as there is fee incurred when using TransferWise. The brokerage fees on our SC regulated services are quite high and the execution is perhaps not good when compared to IBKR. Really hope someday we would see platform with low fees, easy cash deposit/withdrawal. Seems like there is always a drawback and not all is perfect

I noticed that the day you placed your deposits will also earn you interest in this KDI Save.

For others, typically then the money is in the account/on the platform, then only it will start accruing from there.

Kudos to KDI Save.

Wish they could also enable bio-metric login on the app for convenience as well.

Deposits
I deposited some on Friday evening. (batch a)

I also deposited some this morning. (batch b)

Both batches processed and are now in the account.
Interests
Batch a - interest accrued from last Friday and is shown in the account already. (3-day worth of interest)

Batch b - no interest, as it was only deposited today, tomorrow should see the interest earned being reflected.

I deposited on Sat and Sun, today  can see 1 day interest paid .

My 2nd acc opened Saturday 5.30pm, only approved 12.30pm Mon
Deposited money straight away, still pending, if this also earn 1 day interest later on tonight,
that means  no point deposit on Sat or Sun,
might as well wait till Monday only deposit.

I am in the same predicament, only 1 day interest based on last Friday deposit. What a joke with the self proclaimed digital investing...fpx deposit should be automated, not validated by staff during office hours

Cant believe it, KDI  deposit cut off time (for same day interest) is so early!
Deposit 8.19Am , get interest same day.
Deposit  12.37pm  no interest, u only get it next day.

Deposit on Sat and Sun no benefit, no better than do it Monday early morning.

no interest for Fri,Sat Sun, only get interest  come  Monday.

ini one same day interest is abit of a farce...must dep very early..
how you got 2.97%?

i think is 3%-----------> N x3%/365 = 1 day interest
if you put 2.97% you can see amount not correct.
if get 0% return is considered bad already, mana boleh capital pun hilang
so many things in life we do we dont ask for guarantee.


PS:anybody experienced opening acc today and unable to  get OTP on mobile  phone? Change number still cant get OTP.
