i go to subang ktm to deal with it. When i test the set, it work fine. But when i was about to leave and he say "thanks you" i was felt strange because of the volume.. maybe he is a nice seller? so i dun care about it..

At the first i was trying to use the phone, i inserted my sim card and all memory inside sim card was erased! I was thinking is that WM platform was like this? Then i ask he, he said "Need to be set. It not using sim memory and that make your contact not show." But i try a lot of way to find and set it still a failure. To make sure, i try insert another sim card it work fine. I can view the contact.

when i arrive home i test to sync with pc but it didnt work So i was thinking maybe the cable is not suite because i was using n95 cable. Maybe the compatibility issue? Then i try on another cable but it still the same. Then i PM he and ask about it, he said need to use bluetooth. So i try bluetooth.. and it still the same

But before buy, i did asking he "is there any problem occur?".

After i found it got problem i keep PM he and ask he, he started to felt annoying. Sometime he didnt even replying my PM.

Then i think maybe coz the mobile platform some error(file corrupted) so i plan to bring to SiS since its still under warranty.
When i bring there, the person checked and told me "Your set had infected in water, and that cause the problem. To fix it, it cost about 1k+. Do you want to leave your set here?" i was like.. Then i say no because i didnt have such money due i had used all my money to buy this set.
And then when get back home, i ask he for claim my money back(amount that i paid him) and i give he back the set. And this is what he reply.

But in his post or neither when i was dealing with he, he never said anything about "2 week"
After waiting for his replying for a hour, i decided to post at here.

Anyone can teach me how to do? Im new for this Sorry for my bad english.

Start making preparations for a tribunal for small claims. This guy won't pay you back from the looks of his PM and attitude. His objective from day one was to cheat. he knew he couldn't sell it to the phone shop and he was expecting a sucker to not know how to check the phone. Partially its you mistake for not checking thoroughly. COD is like tat. You have to be extra careful.

Don't fret over the money now. But take a positive action to go recover from him via small claims.

After go to the service center, then i only get to know there is a way to check its affected. The assistant show to me . There is a simple thing that most of the user will ignore it and duno the purpose of it

how i know.. it really doesnt show anything.. it work normal.. only some problem that "unseen" like syncing .. , and the touch screen when press it work find but something it will "jump" to left soft key button,pocket msn not work. other works fine. So far the problem i found..

ya, i really duno how to use the PDA and it really my first time. Where as i ask the forumer there is someone said can use the PSP cable to sync, where as i tried the n95 cable and it work. Then u go see the real cable and see what the different. Nevertheless today i bring to service center he try to sync and he get the same result also.

nope SiS is quite reliable. my company dealt with them. i've been there couple of times already. they do know what they're doing. although sometimes they gave the wrong order .

Because last time i bring my 6600 to AP company and somemore my friend told me how they tactic(he was working at there). Starting that day i never trust AP company..

Then he said do u want to leave your set here? I said it ok. He said need about 3 day working time. Then the assistant open, and then he found the sign. He told me it probably infected by water. Then he told me maybe is the motherboard. And to fix it, its about 1k+. Then i ask does it need charge if under warranty? He say , "u need to pay. So do u want to leave your set here?" I ask.. So it was infected by water, then he take the new set and show it to me the different

Maybe will go there again ask for 1 more time..

For the first time i also thinking maybe its a firmware problem. But will it affect the sync? If it cant be connected how it able to sync before this? So today i got my answer from SiS and it answer all my question mark. So far i only found upgrade to WM 6 only some key not able to use(the one who using official dopod WM 6 firmware, searched before i own this.) But i juz wondering about the price.. 1k+..

any mini usb cable would do.
I use only 1 cable for my external hard disk, dopod m700, my motorola v3X and my Atom.

You have messaged him all this while regarding the problem right?
So if he's not replying and still denying.........then he would be at fault.

But obviously you also need to show proof that you did message him so that ppl wouldn't think that you are conning also because the dopod is already in your hand for a substantial time. (if you got what i meant)

exactly boon, i cant do anything coz the dopod is already been in his hand for like wat 2weeks now, anything cud have happened during tat period of time right.

u are wrong..any set drop in to water still useable except certain function..when the set leave to dry for certain time it can be power on..however it will leave brown mark on the broad due to leakage of the component cause by mixing of water with the material in component.... i`m hp shop owner and repairer as well.. the batery power is not enought to short circuit the whole board just certain part will effect..

from the answer u give on usb cable has give some hint that u try to confuse buyer that dopod838pro only connect use dopod mini usb cable.. but u wont know here is too many user know the fact dopod original usb cable can buy from any pc shop for RM10 ...

Im not sure if your set is really faulty, why dont you try to hard reset the phone. For 838p, you need to press a combinations of button to get it hard reset. Google for it. Then the OS will be new

I'm also 838pro user, for my experience, any mini USB cable well do. Since the seller have so many bad records therefore mod of this forum should black list the seller.

and there's enough declaration that the N95 cable do indeed work with 838 pro, so from day 1 the 838 pro that u sold failed to sync, that shows that the USB syncing is not working since the day TS got it, no?

u started cursing and scolding everyone that question u, and that somehow make yourself looked more suspicious..
the more i think of it, the more i feel suspicious on why the USB cable wasn't provided. only u know whether it's on purpose or u really did lost it..

Since its not stated so i no request for it. I thought it not come with cable. After that i only find out it also not include with CD. Then when search on website it said there does got CD that included CE-star and active sync. For sync purpose. And CE-star for viewing and type chinese character.

They can know when exactly the phone got wet etc. If the report comes out that the phone was water damaged before u sell to bububang, then sorry for you dude. You are not going to pay RM1k or RM2K but it will cost a min of RM5K to compensate. That is just minimum.

actualy it is true, thereis a special kinda sticker on the board or the back of the phone which will detect moisture or water ... most cases the sticker will turn color if there is water or after prolong usage as sweat and mositure can trigger it to change, so when the service center says it is inded faulty because of water seepage, then it is true lo ...

but then again ... the thing is that at this point no one will ever know if is the the seller or the buyer who caused it ... as it was ok when it was passed to the buyer ... and the other point is that the buyer has got the set for 2 weeks ...

if both party is denying it ... no one wil know if the phone was already faulty when sold or its damaged by buyer after the COD ...

but both parties can come out and talk it out la ... work something out ... go make report also willlnot make the end result fruitful ...

the USB sync is not working since day 1, and i believe the TS told u that on the same day.. furthurmore, u cant tell if the USB sync is working when u COD.. so, no responsibility needed for that?
another thing i dont understand is why u keep stressing COD, TS checked condition ok.. are u trying to hint that after COD, any other fault that buyer found with the set is none of your business, although u promised "98% good condition" to the buyer?

He did mentioned he can't sync and yes...he is using N95 cable.
Now matter cleared that N95 cable can be used. So you can't deny that he did informed you about the problem in the first day.

As a responsible seller, you need to investigate further i.e. maybe ask him to return to you and try it out at your place or something.
You never, that's the sign of irresponsibility.

My PDA was also bought through internet.
The seller is nice enough for me to test it out the first time before he says he would go to the extent in helpingme get the programs I needed to be installed. We COD after he did he's routine. He even told me to test it vigorously for the first week to see any program crashes or not and ask me to get familiar with the phone as I'm a first time PDA user then. He told me if got any problem with the programs and all he would help me to settle it.

I got problems with the battery and he helped me to think of solutions and all to get it settled. I remember I bugged him few times but he is still friendly towards me.

But looks like you are not that type of person.
After you sell, you clap your hand and let it be.

Search up his post as he did asked around for solutions and it's not 2 weeks old when he asked.
We've judged and found you an irresponsible seller!
Also, you need to change your way of replying or it will get you in trouble in one of these days. (just an advise)

I just try to find some solution first before ask u again. But after i tested and it not work, i did ask u again right? To tell u, i have 2 bluetooth. 1 is from u, 1 is my own. Both have the same result.

seriously if i "were" in ur shoe ...i'll go together with TS to SiS service center for more clearify answer lar... but from what i see u reply always about " the 2 weeks had pass by " and " TS have checked the item when COD time and satisfied " ... the problem is TS can't check that time(COD) wherether the cable is working or not ( esp. when u didn't give TS the cable.. ), or wherether it been spoil by water damage?? i'm not here to judge u alone...but it feel like u're hiding something lar~ !!! and if u got nothing to hide...PROVE YOURSELF lar~... not "melatah" when ppl accuse u of cheating... and also i saw ur reply to earl-ku that he is civilized person...do proof urself a civilized person and met with TS to solve this problem.... senang cerita kan???

in case you dont know..let me tell you what is it...it is the kind of service that you give the customer after he buoght your product... it doesnt matter whether there is warranty or not...

you know why canon is so popular? their after sales service is so good that one of the forumers here, dropped his camera and broke the lcd. All he had to do was to bring back to canon service center, have a few words with the person in charge, and poof..they repaired it for FREE... was it under warranty? NO!! could they just refuse to repair for him? YES!! but did they do that? NO!!!

Base on what i see as a forumer here to judge this situation, you replied rudely, using voulgar words and most of all, exclamation mark in 80% of your posts. This states that you dont wanna settle this the peaceful way but to just make everything seem like it has got nothing to do with you. you make me sick!!

read the other 2 threads created about him earlier HERE and HERE, and u'll know what kinda seller he is.. even said the F word to his customer's face when the customer wanna test the camera, and take his photo.. u know the intention of him selling here is just to clear his hand off something he dont want, and get cash, anything after he got the cash is none of his business already..
