I want to bring this set to SiS to repair or check its wrong? Since this is a SiS set why i should bring to normal shop? I got my own reason why i dun bring it to normal shop.

We wouldnt know what they replace and what they do when hand the set in their hand. Moreover the SiS assistant he told me it most probably motherboard problem. And it cost about 1k+. If i bring it to normal shop, the most probably will end up with sending back to manufacturer and repair it if they cant repair it. And this may delay a lot of time on getting back the set.

1st horo offer me to take the set and he pay me rm400
p/s : he sold to me rm1500

And then i said it too low since it related with motherboard.

And the other, he offer 1k and he take back the set. So this is likely i borrow the set for 2 week for rm500

Now my turn.

I wont refund the whole money to him as he has been holding the phone for a period of time. he been using it and all.  we wont know what might have happened. hu knows he might the cause of the problem on the phone

2nd, there wont be a way for us to find out who actually caused the "WATER" damage so that is why i am willing to pay 400 to half so that he can bear the charges if he wants to repair it.

3rd he still insist in sending to SiS eventhough they told him that it's 1K and u cant use the warranty, so there is no difference in either choosing to send the phone to a normal store.

so what do u guys think?

ah_heng i didnt say he purposedly damaged the phone with water. it cud be triggered by sweat also. we will never know. tat is why im offering to pay 400 to him.

the fact that i dont want to go to SIS because 1K to repair is kinda stupid coz might as well buy a new phone rite..

actualy it is true, thereis a special kinda sticker on the board or the back of the phone which will detect moisture or water ... most cases the sticker will turn color if there is water or after prolong usage as sweat and mositure can trigger it to change, so when the service center says it is inded faulty because of water seepage, then it is true lo ...

but then again ... the thing is that at this point no one will ever know if is the the seller or the buyer who caused it ... as it was ok when it was passed to the buyer ... and the other point is that the buyer has got the set for 2 weeks ...

if both party is denying it ... no one wil know if the phone was already faulty when sold or its damaged by buyer after the COD ...

but both parties can come out and talk it out la ... work something out ... go make report also willlnot make the end result fruitful ...

Full refund and end of story....there is no means of proving who is at fault here.....a seller's reputation is worth alot so a 'good' seller will try and maintain their 'good' reputation by giving full refund and give their customers the benefit of doubt....after all, customers are always right.
