It will also depends on what rider and how much coverage you're taking up.

as for what brand are good, you won't go wrong with big brands like AIA, Allianz, GE, Prudential, HLA.

you probably want to use general insurance over others and you probably want to go direct to save on huge comission you otherwise indirectly pay to the agent. that beeing said good depends on your situation and your needs. ideally you want to cover everything but well. keep in mind future premium increases and set aside for that. most GI insurances will be able to give you a good deal.

Is this ? Is it investement link product ? If not , then I would need to top up the premium from time to time due to the escalacting healthcare cost ? Woule prefer the premium more stable and doesnt fluctuate much.

healthcare cost will never be stable.
as you age, you will pay more (even without inflation)
combined with inflation, naturally you will just pay much more for the next year (either yearly renewable premium, 5 years renewable or cost of insurance in ILP)

you should think what type of coverage you want to have (zero deductible, low deductible, high deductible, plus the annual/lifetime limit coverage)

Its not ILP. It's a standalone medical card.

Let say when apply medical card..no serious disease clean bill of health..then 2 years down the road..when doing annual medical check up found out got maybe hypertension or diabetes...do we need to update our health report with insurance provider? Or just inform them when admitted.

Hard to get claim approve

Need this need that, all those supporting document to proof my preexisting illness doesnt have any cause of my current illness which lead me to hospitalisation. Kinda troublesome, whereas my friend using other brand no issue.

Did you declare having preexisting condition during coverage application to buy?

Nope. If you DID NOT GO for body checkup /consultation/take medication/whatsoever treatment that will expose your condition, either in private clinic or hospital, those that keep your records, then you are safe.

I might be wrong though, just my thoughts.

You don't need to unless you're applying for a new policy or upgrading from existing.
