Tefal > all but u must check the series got induction support or not.
Some Tefal dont work with induction. Those that say "GAS ELECTRIC CERAMIC" will NOT work for induction..

Compatible on gas, electric, halogen and ceramic hobs except induction

Cast iron has low heat conductivity but has good heat retention but unless you serve your food in pot, then no advantage laugh.gif

I used all type whichever on sales laugh.gif . Stainless steel, ceramic, PFOA, PTFE, and cast iron. Well any non-stick type will not last. The property will run off sooner or later. With proper use probably, Teflon type last longer but the ceramic is easier to use since it is more durable, which I prefer the most.

I bought one from Ikea. Trusted brand name so Teflon coating should be safe. When using non stick it is important not to overheat the pan. Not suitable for dry dishes.

Why not? As long as the pot or pan with bottom that can stick the magnet, it can be used with induction. I've been using induction hob more than 20 years already smile.gif

Do note that not all stainless steel pan can work with induction. If it made of non-magnetic stainless steel, it will not get heated. The process on how stainless steel is made will make it magnetic or not.

The non-stick coating is called Teflon made by DuPont. There is no proven link to cancer. Actually the chemical used in producing Teflon, PFOA, is harmful to human. That is why it has been replaced with other chemical very long time ago already. However, recently there are question on how safe the new substitute called GenX to human. There is claimed that it is more harmful than it was thought previously. However, now it is still under safe category if not mistaken.

Tanggal or not, after about a year or so the non-stick property also degraded and become sticky. Use with proper utensil, it will not scratch.

Buy 1 or 2 cheap non stick, change je every 1 year plus max 2 years.

Rest is stainless steel, easy to take care, and can use wire scrub no headache. No need to manja manja like cast iron

La Gourmet’s Shogun series is very good. At first I thought no way this is non stick cause the surface a bit rough but man this thing really non stick, not even eggs.
Whatever it is, good luck trying to find a 30cm non stick pan with lid for Rm50 or less biggrin.gif

I think about the same, just over a year now.
I have confidence in ceramic coating, my other ceramic pan which is like 4 years now still no flaking off yet but non stick properties not as good as this Shogun
