why would ahem DVDs cos BD laser read failure? is the reflectiveness of cheap quality burned and printed DVDs causing unnecessary stress?

i'm actually worried abt the dust factor too. if too much foreign particles enter the BD slot drive, it'll be hard to clean it out, eh?

yes..the ahem DVD is very thin as compared the ori dvds...this gives the BD drive unnecessary stress while reading....my old sony dvd player was unable to read certain dvds cos its too thin....u can actually c right through it... blink.gif

but some ppl use burned DVD for their home-made videos. i wonder if those quality is better? the upscaling of DVD really good. photo viewing also quite nice. maybe can suggest those bridal shops to buy a PS3 to showcase for their shop tongue.gif

nothing wrong with being excited with a nice shiny and expensive new toy. 15 year old , 55 year old, same reaction tongue.gif

but this 40GB really bringing in more newcomers, so just compile their Qs in 1 place, easier for ppl answering also.
