as i mentioned previous replies, if you are my Faculty of Management & IT (FoMIT), i can assure that it won't happen to us anymore, even it is really happen on next semester, but at least we had changed something. we already lower this kind of case happen in future, i had been meeting wit them and we had discuss this issue too. dun worry if u are FoMIT student. we already set a system on Course Selection (CS), when u doing CS, u will see ur screen right side have a column (CAP), for example if u taking Business Economics, and the CAP is 200. which means this subject max capacity is 200 student, if u late do ur course selection and u are 201st student taking this subject, u will get rejected from ur Head of Faculty.

since u've already decided to enrol, just go ahead and make the best use of ur Uni life coz im sure u've already thought everything thoroughly b4 making such decision..dont let our little comments affect ur decision.. every coll/Uni has their own pros n cons
oh.. i completed my diploma elsewhere n then transferred here, so im automatically exempted. not sure if the guy just now is a transfer student onot
