QUOTE(Ballard @ Apr 4 2011, 01:25 PM) Been polluting other uni threads with this question, so why stop... Yea there is a new mini hotel. Same row with allianze bank.Any cheap guesthouses or hotels near to ucsi? I should be visiting the campus next week and don't want to stay in an expensive place. I'm happy with ultra-low budget, so long as there is a door and a roof. |

QUOTE(BrianBee @ Apr 15 2011, 01:59 PM) Hi all, that's because the medicine degree is now open to their foundation students..and priority is first given to them....I am applying for medicine for 2011 intake, may i know what are my chances maybe based on the intake last year? i score 3.58 during my STPM last year. When i call the marketing department, they told me the quota for interview is full, i can still submit the document but i wont get a chance to the interview if the faculty do not open more place. And i dont need to submit RM 600 before hand, so i am very confused, why it seems like a first come first serve basic for place to interview? Help of clarification is much appreciated. |

QUOTE(patricktiew @ Apr 15 2011, 08:36 PM) Ya, currently im in year 2 sem 2. After this semester, there will be 3 lecturers who will leave the faculty. One of them who is a professor in physiology is going to retire from teaching; another one who is a Dr in pharmaceutical technology will going back to India to teach in India; The last one will head to public uni for research and teaching. From those newly employed lecturers, some of the lecturer is just graduated as PhD holder and they have no experience in teaching before employed by UCSI. Some of them was teaching in other university before employed by UCSI. From students perspective, some but not all new lecturers does not meet students expectation. where are the new lecturers from? Malaysia?i guess this situation also happen in other universities, not only happen in UCSI. |

QUOTE(BrianBee @ Apr 18 2011, 08:44 PM) Hi May i know usually what result in STPM secure place in UCSI? Thanks in advance all those current medicine students. Bro. It's quota full. The foundation students will only finish their course in May. So by that time only the interview will begin I presume since the intake in only in July. Therefore you might have to wait until the interview fully commences, and some of the students reject the offer, only then they will open more slots for interview. Added on April 18, 2011, 9:45 pmHi Zstan, thank you for helping to understand why the competition got strigent on the application for medicine but i still fail to understand why there is a quota, let's say priority given to foundation and only 20 places open for other application, they still can select academik qualified students to go for interview and select that 20 person. But i was told differently, they said quota for interview is full. So if i was 4A student(i wasn't), but i came late, no chance? can someone explain why? it is not because of dateline, simply it is full which i dont understand. Then again, this is what is presume, I might be wrong. So if you really want to enter ucsi, all you can do now is wait or have other options opened. |

Change to another lrt and board to bandar tasik selatAn station. From there, take the ucsi shuttle bus. |
