is the accounting/finance or general accounting course good in ucsi? i heard that it's kind of new. I'm actually doing an IDP to uni of queensland after a year in ucsi
*
You should stay away from accounting and finance course offered from this University. I have to admit the previous batch (the old syllabus - ended 2009) was much better.

Please come and meet the course counsellor to ask for opinion.
Also, don't swallow the counsellor's words completely. They are known for miselling just to get you into the University. Best is still talk to the dean. smile.gif

Can anyone please help answer my previous question? D:
*
Hi there, sorry that I cannot answer the questions for you. However, I would suggest you to go to the real class and see for yourself and then judge yourself on the quality of teaching. If you are satisfied you can always register yourself for admission.

Don't worry, the lecturers are instructed to give 2 weeks time for you to see if the course is suitable (actually meant for student who are not sure which course to go but I guess it's the same). You can check for timetable here: http://www.ucsi.edu.my/advantage/faculty_t...le/default.aspx

Seriously, UCSI need to put more afford to keep their staffs from joining other university. They know they hardly to recruit qualified staffs but yet they do less effort to keep their staffs. Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences lack of experienced and qualified staffs.

Same goes with Acc/Finance.

Thanks for taking the time to reply but..."don't expect too much?"  icon_question.gif

I have to agree with the tagline "Don't expect too much". Cosmetic changes wise - good and impressive. Implementation wise - rubbish. They can't even stick to Y table properly. Various complaints have been lodged but seems like they're not paying much attention. This happens in FOMIT.

By the way, FOMIT students can check the noticeboard to see which course that has been "approved" but is not offered this semester to pick up another subjects again. shakehead.gif

Btw can someone explain to me what does it mean by long sem and short sem ?

is short sem a must ? ~
*
Jan - Apr - 1 Long semester
May - Aug - 1 Long semester
Sept - Nov - 1 Short semester

Long semester is 14 weeks, short semester is 7 weeks. Short semester is part of the academic period but you can always request to differ your semester if you think you cannot make it most of the time in short semester.

so happy right now.  drool.gif

the frequent changes of timetable have been a tradition for us.

Now even worse, cause the online faculty e-timetable didn't get update also, they just announced it through the notice board of faculty.

I wonder still, how many clashes and absences do i need to go  nod.gif
*
It just shows how poor the management is. They have ample amount of days to get it together and they just cannot release a "final" version of the timetable without the need to edit it later. rclxub.gif

If you want to ask about PTPTN on UCSI course, it is better to consult PTPTN forum (ask the officers there) before going to Miss Fatmawati. I don't really like how Ms. Fatmawati is handling PTPTN matters, slow, inefficient and always resulted in miscommunication.

If you are unsure best is to consult students studying there to get more "real" information.
Don't ever rely on those marketing people.

Hey, I just saw this post now. I have been dealing with plagiarism since the Foundation and until now, in my last semester in USCI, I still have to deal with people plagiarizing. I had become the editor of all of the assignments, as like you, editing the whole assignment before submitting it. That's the only way I can get good marks on all my assignments. /shrugs.

Btw, I said there are students with a fair grasp of English. I did not say "all of them". Before over-analyzing my statement, please read it carefully.
*
Yeah, you said fair, I concluded most, including lecturers.

helloooooo! i've a bigggggggg trouble here.
im now in Diploma in Management, planning to take Microeconomics & Macroeconomics on next semester.
im just wondering who had taken both subjects at the same time?
i heard both concept are almost the same, will mess up? icon_question.gif
*
Micro and Macro can be taken at the same time. There are both related but it is better to understand Micro first before taking Macro. Anyway I did both at the same time and it's not really hard.

Actually co-op is very good for the student as you will gain working experience while you are studying.
We have quite a number of students are hired by those company they work for after their graduated.
Of course you have to be serious during your internship.
*
Yes of course.
Can we have the old e-advantage system back?
Those who suggest the LMS system need to be shot.
