Hello,
Been looking for a 250cc scooter for almost 6 months. Been looking at Elegan 250ABS, Yangmahal XMAX, Honda Forza and Wmoto RT3.
Price-wise: Elegan 250 wins my heart Spec-wise: RT3 seems the best
Willing to consider XMAX & Forza as well.
Help me to choose, please?
Thanks.

It can run 1-2 hundreds of mile easily. The moment u allow anyone open engine, all torque setting be off spec.

I would suggest to go for Xmax/Forza 250 or if B full, a used Forza 300. can never go wrong.

I have been following the owners' whatsapp groups for Modenas Elegan 250 and WMOTO RT3 for these few weeks. The Elegan seems to have less ownership problem, while the RT3 seems to cause fun-time for troubleshooting. Best to avoid RT3 if M-Force authorised service dealer is not nearby or you don't want to spend time troubleshooting the scooter. I am keen on the RT3 myself but I am not in a hurry to buy one (lucky for me that M-Force authorised service dealer is not far-away).

As an owner of Wmoto RT3 myself, I'm about to reach 4k on the odo and I've had zero problems with it so far.
Mine is the second batch (has an auto kill side stand and seat button requires ignition to be switched on).
Performance wise, it is on par with XMAX (stock). Elegan 250 definitely needs some CVT mods to reach the same kind of performance.
Has more leg room than Elegan 250 (I'm 186cm tall) in terms of stretching out my legs.
Fuel range is fantastic. Even with full throttle riding, I'm getting at least 400-450km with the 17 liter tank. Go easy on it and 500km is doable.
Brakes are ok. Definitely needs both front and rear brakes for emergency braking. No fade under heavy braking but could use more feel. Probably better pads will improve it somewhat. Has Bosch ABS but lack the traction control on the XMAX which honestly, I don't think you need.
It lacks storage space under the seat due to the large fuel tank. It's wide enough but has no depth. A large top box is definitely needed to store a full face helmet. I have a 47l top box on mine.
The rear shock is meh. A YSS or racing boy shock will significantly improve the handling and comfort. Front forks feels a bit harsh even after changing fork oil. I'm looking around for a fork upgrade kit that fits to improve the feel.
It's definitely not as refined as the XMAX and requires some mods to make it better. Honestly, in my opinion if they had put proper suspension on it as well as reduce the tank to 15liters to make space to store a single full face helmet under the seat, it would have made this the 250cc scooter to beat.

i just give my experience on 3 brands for 250 scooter (178CM tall)
- SYM Cruisym (can put 2 fullface helmet & comfort ride for long distance, still using old model engine) - Yamaha Xmax (sitting position not my taste and less space only fit 1 fullface helmet) - Honda Forza (the best compare the above both, silence engine, speed, comfort, Auto adjust front wind shield < the best)
As a owner of cruisym before forza out.

Just bought my Elegan 250 ABS second hand 2 days ago. Odo when i got it was just under 4000km which is a steal for the price I'm paying for it. Comes with 47L Givi box and steel brackets with phone mount, and side mirrors already been relocated by previous owner from the handle to the front. More visibility and better looking IMO. As for the performance, yeah will agree with most of the peeps in here that the CVT drivetrain is lacking punch, and needs to be modded. However, I'm rarely riding it at high speeds (mostly town riding, weaving in traffic), so not a big issue for me. The only issue I had with this bike is that, it's heavier than my previous bike of 12 years, the SYM VTS 200. I'm 165cm tall, so getting the double stand off when already on the bike is a huge hassle. Need to build more muscle strength on my legs after this!
