There is one time send my mon iphone to 3rd party iphone technician, then he said motherboard problem, then i said if so better not to repair it.. Then went to pertama complex kl, they said battery faulty only, after change new one, the iphone back to normal as good as brand new

Sharing my experience of changing screen for Iphone 13 Pro in TRX Apple store

31/12, phone hit green screen, quickly check if any appointment available in TRX, but fully booked on 1/1.
1/1, went to TRX apple store to check if walk in is available, was told walk in not possible during weekend / pub holiday. End up book 2/1 1510 slot
1/2, reached trx around 1500, staff serve pretty fast, was told it is a common issue for 13 Pro and Pro Max. Went through some diagnosis to make sure the other function works fine, then was told apple will replace the screen for free if the issue is not due to water/fall, they have this special programme. I also asked why there is no callback for this, and the staff mentioned that issue not happen in US/ worldwide, but only happen in SEA. 🙄

Picked up around promised time 1745. The phone got revived and probably can wait until 17 or 18 😆.

I would suggest if anyone hit green/ white / yellow screen for 13 Pro and Pro Max can just straight ahead go to trx apple store for replacement, before going any third party.

did you have to factory reset/backup the iphone before going to TRX? or can the screen replacement be done without factory reset? touch wood it doesnt happen to mine but better to learn beforehand

Bought on Jan 2022.

Don’t even have chance to do anything… it just went green screen, plug in pc also cannot detect. Mine was done without any factory reset, and they ask whether any backup done beforehand and luckily i have icloud backup.

Ok so busy this Jan missed out on the offer. Anyway just changed at Geo, settled in less than 3 hours yesterday at $428 incl tax.

RM409 all-in for 13Pro. This was last Dec. Took about 2.5 hours.

Make sure you come early.

My original batt capacity was 81% at that time and was thinking to change to 16Pro. After change to new batt, the phone feels snappy again and lasts the whole day. May give it maybe a year or abit more, before upgrading.

OK few more details if I remember correctly.

a) They will ask you to do an icloud backup prior but in case something go wrong during the batt replacement process and if data still gets wiped out, they won't be responsible. Need to sign a consent form. Very small cases the said. Mine went okay. No issue.
b) If water trace is found inside the phone, where it shouldn't be, the technician will not proceed with battery replacement. Need to sign consent form.
c) If the phone was opened prior by unauthorized personnel, they won't proceed with repair as well.

I did bring my backup phone on that day, just in case.

Has anyone here kena white screen of death issue before on the 13 Pro Max ? The display is frozen bright white, and the touch functions are non-responsive.
