TS if i were you i will choose ativa over myvi, since you said that you have been driving 2 generation of myvi. So definitely will choose another type of car (compact SUV) to have a different driving feel.
But bare in mind that 3 cylinder & turbo engine & bigger wheel size in long term maintenance might be higher compare to Myvi.

Just save that 10k and get the myvi, 1.5NA is more reliable and fuel savings than 1.0 turbo.

Currently driving a 3rd gen Myvi (pre-facelift).
After test-driving the Ativa I was amazed by its performance and its package. A lot of designs that are actually friendly to users compared to Myvi but some designs don't make sense (chrome parts at the air cond vents, centre console, storage space...).

Ativa is rebadged JDM model catering to Japanese market.

Myvi is designed primarily for msian buyers.

Agreed, till the end it is really up to personal preferences..
Myvi (especially the facelifted ver) with CVT and improvement on safety features are quite an improvement compared to the pre-facelift ones..
However it is also time to consider to upgrade my ride from Myvi to Ativa..
