My car porch walls have a lot of crack lines. I am looking for contractor to repair. Not keen on tiling up the wall cause too expensive nor do i plan to paint it. I thought of just doing smooth cement finish Any advise what i should tell the contractor to ensure that the wall will not have crack lines and can last? does it need waterproofing or sealant paint?

QUOTE(BTKee @ Nov 23 2021, 02:21 PM) Hi! It is best to remove all paint then sealed up the crack line with cement (special for crack repair). Then apply good sealant paint or waterproof paint which is having high elongation. Personally, I recommend Dong Fang Yu Hong - Smar Coating. [attachmentid=11044929] any brand cement?

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Nov 23 2021, 05:10 PM) Woah... This look like serious... Was thinking just small hairline crack... Here & there... This one... I think huh.. Needed to take out whole cement layer... Until can see bricks.... And replaster cement layer back... Later after like 1 week... Weatherproof paint.... Why need to wait after 1 week?

What about if i want to add on tiles? Do we need to wait for the cement to dry up then do the tiling or its done together?
