How did Airbus lose money to AirAsia. Planes ordered not yet delivered. Just forfeit the deposit and sell the brand new planes to other airlines. katijar liked this post

QUOTE(Solar Calendar @ Nov 16 2021, 12:56 PM) in the books, they are actually creditors of the highest priority. At least be thankful la, 20% in 2023 to 2026. Very generous These POV from a learned forumer at the other tered. Very noteworthy Mavcom already instructed air asia X to pay back customers. Customers are not creditors la. Monies taken before service rendered must be placed in the service account. Only after service is rendered can you treat it as your own la. Customers are not creditors! |

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) will exercise its powers under the Malaysian Aviation Commission Act 2015 [Act 771] if AirAsia X Bhd fails to reimburse the affected air travel consumers accordingly. In a statement today, the commission said the exercise is in line with Mavcom's mandate to regulate economic and commercial matters relating to civil aviation in Malaysia and its commitment to protecting air travel consumer rights. However, Mavcom viewed that air travel consumers ought not to be classified as 'creditors'. QUOTE(Solar Calendar @ Nov 16 2021, 12:09 PM) Can you all calm down? Airbus lost multi-billion dollar contract didn't see them complain. Banks, lessors, caterers only get back 0.5% also didnt complain. They all agreed to 0.5%. You get godzilla to tell them to pay up they also kenot pay la, no money how to pay? Be reasonable abit. If cannot restructure how to pay you back? They already promise to pay back if they can revive. See below, very generous, very responsible. Why ts talk like airasia bapak dia punya."AAX also proposed that if it were to garner more than RM300mil in annual earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, lease rentals and restructuring costs during its 2023-2026 financial years, all creditors except Airbus would be entitled to 20% of those earnings." Even if they don't pay back, the money is better used to help AAX revive. Pls think long term. If no AAX how to fly to long distant country? By then you have to pay twice because no low cost flight, lose more money in the long run. Help AAX, you help yourself. Don't so calculative la. After all, even shareholders didn't get dividend but also no complain. We should also thank shareholder sacrifice for supporting AAX and support low cost flight.
